Title: Zelda Master Quest + GeckoOS 1.9.0.3 = Read Error
Post by: T-Rex on March 29, 2011, 04:50:17 PM
I have the Zelda Master Quest original for GameCube. I tried to run this wonderful game on my Wii with GeckoOS, the game runs with the Nintendo logo, but after Nintendo logo, appears the error:

"An error has occurred.
Please turn the power off and refer to your
Nintendo GameCube Instruction Booklet."

And now?

Gecko OS mod + cMIOS is one alternative to fix this problem. Another is to eject and reinsert the disc after booting it, but before the error shows up.

Hmm... with cMIOS, can i play my imported retail GC games via StartPatch? Because i prefer run directly on the Disc Channel.

Well... the eject method works, but a little uncomfortable to left the chair to go to Wii and press the eject button on the certain moment...

It might be possible to run the game with StartPatch or priiloader, but if you enabled region free GC already and it doesn't work, i doubt there's a way.

A cMIOS wouldn't change your situation regarding the disc channel. There are different kinds of cMIOS, ones with loader integrated and ones without loaders integrated. The ones i recommend are the ones without loader, because they don't change anything for the disc channel. The ones with loader always start their loader if you start a GC game, but none of these support audio streaming in a better way than you have it now with Gecko OS.
