How is this suppose to work exactly? I mean the wii menu isn't a channel so, how do you get the codes to work over it?

Use the Gecko OS Rebooter function.  It will start the system menu with hooks.

Are you sure you rebooted with hooks?

As far as "bypassing disc updates", sure it's feasible to make a code that skips the disc update check.  But you would need to use the Rebooter to apply the code.

If you wanted to make a "permanent" modification...you're basically re-creating PriiLoader.

...how do you make a gct that loads with the rebooter?

oh isn't it possible to reboot with the rebooter and gct? never tried it, just applied via usb gecko. It says "No Disc" but in the memory viewer (80000000) it loads your game ID.
