As most of you probably know, there is MASSIVE damage in Japan and other "near by" Pacific coasts..
We have many hackers and members in Japan and those surrounding areas..
Please keep them in your thoughts through this time and hope that they and their families make it out safe.
If you're in an affected area, please let us know how you, personally, are doing- even if it's just a brief check-in to let us know you are okay.
We love you all.
Stay safe.

yes I saw this on the news this morning, it didn't look good but i missed most of the news due to work.
Best of Wishes
We are all right in Kobe. Thank you.
Send pure love your way O0
It seems that recently, the world is being struck with terrible events beyond our control...
Well these things have been happening since before we were even around. It's just that the media is much bigger nowadays and you hear about almost every little thing that happens around the world now. Also, I think a power plant has just blown up in Japan also.
I am in Tokyo. Shook greatly.
I'm fine.
Thank you.
If you have a good outlook toward anything then you will be ok. I hope the U.S will send some help.
It is very good to hear from you, Y.S. and ukuneko. I am glad you are okay.
I hope ZiT is okay too..
Other JP hackers that I know of:
ricky23i and xtatu (both new since Wii hacking, afaik)
YCAT21 and Cross1955 (Like Y.S., I knew both of these guys before Wii hacking)
This is not a full list at all, just the guys I recognize quickly.. Because of game importing and that everyone speaks english on the boards- I am not sure where others are from...)
Also, other areas were affected too..
We all would love to hear from the still 'missing' - even if you have not posted in a long time. :(

It is very tragic. All of that stuff was just destroyed. I hope everybody in japan makes it ok...
I bet insurance doesn't cover tsunamis :-[
Best of luck
To all the japan users and hackers on here. I hope yall are alright and my heart goes out too everyone who lost everything in the earthquake and tsunami. I'm truely relieved that you are safe Y.S and ukuneko. I hope we hear from Zit soon cause he was one of my friends over at gsc.
I do have contact to some Japanese people too. Fortunately those I had direct contact with (via mail) all live in Tokyo or Osaka - they did feel it though. I still wish all Japanese people including our well-respected hackers the best.
I personally hope that the controversary news reports finally get solved, currently the things with the nuclear power plant seem to turn for the worst :( .
I am following the news on the nuclear plants as well.. It is very worrisome to me. =(
Does anyone know what city ZiT lives in?

This forum Do you still? ZTI's IP address recorded.
I look at it, might be able to determine the region of Japan.
update pm7:45 +10 Brisbane March 13th 2011. If anyone want's to know what's going on.

èªã¾ã,Œã,‹ã€, éžå¸¸ã«é‡è¦ã€, = Please read. Very Important.
Caution: Graphic descriptions.
Iodine is necessary for the thyroid gland to secrete thyroxine which regulates the body's metabolism. If you have a lot of iodine then you might loose weight. Too much iodine you can have a heart attack or stroke.
Caesium compounds are similar to potasium. Potasium regulates information from going into the brain. Even your ears and eyes have potasium channels. In this case, the individual having a little caesium would feel more alert. A lot of caesium would give you hallucinations such as hearing noises, seeing colours. You'd be able to smell things more and taste things more too. Unfortunately, this would also create super sensitive nerves so you would be able to feel things a lot more which can be distracting and annoying.
Too much caesium would lead to stiffness, anxiety, and an extremely bad sensory trip. They would eventually die of adrenal exhaustion because of fear (hypersensitive Amygdala).
In all, Iodine + Caesium in over dose = Dying of a heart attack + stroke + fear.
If you don't die from this or the explosion, then you would surely develop cancers throughout your body from the toxicity and radiation. Radiation because the Caesium would be the radiated type due to the nuclear plant.
Any body in Japan should follow something like this for the next weeks or so. If anything, take this to the extremes.
Have:
More Chloride, Calcium, and electrolytes (gatorade/powerade/etc) .
Eat coriander to eliminate metals.
Have Yin teas, ie: lavender and chamomile or Jasmine. Rose and sage, will regulate hormones.
All anxiolitic (anti stress) product is encouraged.
Get a metal cleansing product at the health food shop.
Have plenty of Water (none fluoridated... this stuff is simply bad for you anyways! no matter what the
governments might say)
Avoid:
Nicotine, all caffeine type of stimulants and Gurana type of stimulants too (V, red bull).
Avoid fish, and seaweed (iodine)
Meditate on having a Godly (Perfect/Unconditional Positive Regard and Love/Life/One with All) body/mind/soul to heal faster and perfectly.
Signs of being ok:
Calm and collective thoughts and body. No twitches. Smiling lots and pausing within conversations instead of speed talking.
Eyes aren't sensitive to light anymore
Foods taste and smells are less acute/strong
Feeling things can be done one at a time. (Can focus on typing and only typing for a lengthy period of time)
Sleep is around -+8 hours straight.
Eat and let go regularly (three times a day at least).
No more palpitations
If symptoms of anxiety/stress/loss of weight/ insomnia/ nightmares/ irregular bowl/ headaches/ palpitations/ sensory hypersensitivity (taste/smell/touch/vision/hearing)/muscle tension
persists, please go to your local Acupuncturist/Therapist/Doctor respectively.
If irregular moles, bumps or sensitivities arise please go get it tested NOW.

The IP was recorded, it is originating from Tokyo too, it seems. I PMed it to you additionally.
Hi,Everybody!!
I live in "Kanagawa".
Damage got off in the minimum!!
When the earthquake occurred, "Chiba" had me.
There was a terrible shake.
Thank you for everybody in the forum worrying!!
ZiT
I heard that Satoshi Tajiri was less lucky, HOWEVER, it seemed to be fake;
This is taken from Satoshi's article on wikipedia:
2011 Sendai Earthquake
At 08:55 EST on March 12, 2011, an unconfirmed report of Tajiri's death in the 2011 Sendai earthquake and tsunami was posted to Twitter, resulting in a deluge of retweets and syndication of the information to various blog posts concerned with gaming, manga and anime and major news websites. However, the posts were refuted with new information regarding the safety of Nintendo of Japan employees (including Tajiri), with Nintendo of America confirming that no employees of Nintendo of Japan were harmed by the catastrophe nor was any significant property damage sustained.
I got relieved when I read this :)
I'm relieved to hear you're okay, ZiT!
I really hope other members in Japan are okay too...
Zit its good ta hear from you, and I'm glad your safe.

Agreed!!
Very grateful to have our most regular friends with us still. <3
I heard that the shift in the plates caused by the quake is likely to cause more quakes (smaller magnitude) within the next couple of months.
I will keep you guys in my thoughts.

I hope so to. It would be awlful to lose a member due to being unlucky. :'(
Wow they up it up to a 9.0.
Most of my friends in Japan are safe so far. A few I haven't heard back from yet, but they don't live in the NE Japan area.
They're now saying that the radiation from the nuclear plant is being detected on the west coast of the USA. :o
Winds from Australia and the south pole are pushing with the easterly winds of Asia towards America. The Radiation levels could be detected at a unusual level (nothing too hazardous).
This happened with the last blow out too.
Follow the diet I proposed If you start feeling symptoms.
I read that the greater danger is eating contaminated plants or animal products (especially milk).

Also, consider how much this event has raised the normal levels of background radiation. One measure of radiation is nanoGrays per hour (nGy/h). At sea level, you are typically exposed to 30 nGy/h, all year round. At higher elevations, the thinner atmosphere blocks less radiation, so exposure increases. In Mexico City (2.2km or 1.4 miles), background levels are 90 nGy/h. In La Paz, Bolivia, perhaps the city with the highest elevation in the world, it's 230 nGy/h.
Tokyo, being very close to sea level, has an average of 35 nGy/h. According to this table (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-03-18/latest-table-of-radiation-levels-in-detected-in-tokyo-s-shinjuku-ward.html) which lists the max/min/avg of recent readings of background radiation in a district in Tokyo, the max since March 16 has been about 50 nGy/h (just over half of Mexico City). The worst was one hour on the 15th, 809 nGy/h, and on the 16th the worst was 160 nGy/h.
This is in Tokyo, a mere hundred-some miles from the nuclear plant. Folks who are thousands of miles away (like the people in California making a run on potassium iodide) are panicked over nothing. If they really want to reduce their exposure to radiation, they should stop smoking; each and every cigarette is over 1000 nGy inhaled directly into the lungs, equivalent to standing in Tokyo yesterday for a whole day.
---
Chernobyl was way, way worse. There was no primary containment vessel, so when the core exploded it sent radiation over 9000 meters into the atmosphere, contributing to a larger fallout zone. Fukushima's containment means an explosion would send material up to maybe 500 meters, meaning that any fallout will be fairly local to the area and probably dissipate over the ocean.
Chernobyl was also worse because it had a positive void coefficient. If it lost cooling power, a positive feedback loop ensures it will eventually melt down and explode. Fukushima is newer (still 40 years old though!), and has a negative void coefficient. Once active cooling is lost, the material will no longer heat up, although it is still very hot and still requires cooling. In contrast, newer reactor designs use passive cooling that will cool the material even in the absence of power.
Well said, dcx2. In other words, there are many things that we can do to keep even healthier. Let's take advantage of this rise of consciousness, and let's get healthier because we can!
But still, our hearts are reaching out to all the victims, and we are all doing what we can to help.

Another one, ~7.2, hit today... :<
Shift in tectonic plates makes more earthquakes in the future. Thank god it's not as bad as the first one though.
Boy i tell you what japan has taken a lot of bullets with all these aftershocks and earthquakes. I am really shocked that Hawaii isnt even getting a one. Because hawaii is right in the middle of the ring of fire.
