Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but are the components worth getting? I just upgraded to an HD 55" tv and currently have the wii hooked up using the stock rca connectors. I've heard that the wii doesn't go over 480 format, so is upgrading the cables even worthwhile?
I don't have any complaints about the picture quality now, but if compenents make it even better then I'll get 'em.
I can't tell a difference. When I take my Wii somewhere else, I use rca. In my room, I use component.
*shrugs*
Only reason I 'upgraded' was to clear an rca connection for other stuff.
I think it's a money scam but you can test it out if you want to

that's what I was thinking too. If I need the rca jacks for another device then I'll upgrade, but until then I think I'll stick with the el-cheap-o's ;D
I don't know which cables are called what but I upgraded from these:

to these:

And it did make a notable difference.
you can tell if you have small text to read :S but thats about it
I use component, it's a cleaner image.
The Yellow cable with the left and right phono leads is called Composite.
