Title: Windows 7 Laptop Doesnt Recognize Usb Gecko, HELP
Post by: Darkhacker0259 on December 27, 2010, 04:40:45 PM
hi everyone, i recently got a new laptop and i wanted to put my usb gecko onto it. So i got my cable my usb gecko and i have the drivers. So plugged in the usb coord to the gecko and the laptop and turned on my wii... But nothing showed up on my computer like "New Device Found" or whatever. I tried this with 3 different usb coords and none work. I am using a wii that is 4.3u (idk if that has anything to do with it) and i really want to get this to work. Thanks!

When the device is attached, is there anything in Device Manager?  Any red or yellow marks on any devices?

Do you see anything under Ports (COM & LPT)?

nope. I just tryed putting it into my old computer (which it worked on before) but it didnt work. It must be the gecko. Is there anyway i can try and fix it? maybe by opening it up?

EDIT: I cant find the disk that came with the gecko so i never installed that on the computer. Is that maybe why its not working?
