Heyy, I need some help here. I have a USB Gecko, and I'm trying to use it. I go to Gecko OS and it starts up driver. But then the screen turns black and white and freezes. Any help here ?? I'm on 4.1u . :/ thankss
What version of Gecko OS?
What game? What hook?
Are you using WiiRDGUI or Gecko.NET?
My Gecko OS version is 1.9.3.1.
Game I'm trying to use is Call of Duty: Black Ops (Original , NO Burnt Game).
My Hooktype is OSSleepThread.
And I'm using WiiRdGUI.
you need IOS 250.
Hmm. How could I get that ?? I have the app CIOS Installer , IOS236 Installer , Waninkoko's Wad Manager , uhhh MMM . Any of those workk ?
cIOS installer rev19 I think
Oh I have CIOS Installer rev20 . Wonder if that could work ?
yea try rev20.
K thanks. Ill let you know if it works (;
Uhmm, on the cIOS Installer rev20. It doesn't have IOS250 on there :'( ... soo what should i do ?
Gecko OS does not ever need a cIOS to play games. The only time you need cIOS to play games is when you're a dirty pirate.
Sometimes WiiRDGUI will launch a game paused if you use it to start Gecko OS. When it "freezes" at the black screen, hit run on WiiRDGUI.
dcx2 ! WHY THANK YOU SOO MUCH ! :D your wayy worked perfectly ! THANKS SOO FREAKINNGG MUCH :D ! ... but uhmm -.- sorry for being a noob.. its still in black & white as the game plays O_O ? is that ok ?
go options: Video mode : Force PAL 50 or 60.
My Wii Options ??? On Wii's main menu ?
nono on gecko os.
there is "option" then u can see "Disc Default or Console Default".
change it to Auto Patch
You're welcome, Chris.
You should try launching the game from Gecko OS first, and once the game is running, *then* attach the WiiRDGUI debugger. I think launching with WiiRDGUI will automatically pick some settings like language etc.
You should also try Gecko.NET instead. But my opinion on that is biased since I helped develop that.
How can I get Gecko.NET ? I'll try it.
@Deathwolf
Where'd you see that at ??
My Gecko OS has: Config Options and Rebooter Options .
But yeah , i need that black and white gone :/
In my sig is the Gecko.NET release thread. You can go here to see the Google Code project downloads. http://code.google.com/p/geckowii/downloads/list
You want r115.
BTW, I think the options that Deathwolf wants you to look at are under the Config Options.
might have already been solved... but i noticed that my geckoOS wouldnt load either for "black ops" turns out, if there is ANYTHING in the USB slots in the back of the wii, geckoOS will not load and instead just black screen. unplug the device, let geckoOS load, plug back in once you are on the actual geckoOS screen
????
profit, well. cheats :/
