Did anyone go outside to see the lunar eclispe last night? The US and canada got the best times to watch it. I would rather be on the west coast cause it started at 9:30PM instead of 11:30PM from where i am at. It started to get darker and darker as the night went on. around 2am is when the light show begin.
I didn't stay outside for the whole thing. lol. I don't usually stay up for stuff like this, but i heard this kind of event didn't happen since 1638. I stayed up past 3am and the moon was still that orange glowing color. From time to time it faded in and out red/orange and then disappear. It was somewhat worth watching somewhat not. Time to catch up on sleep now! ;D
the whole thing ended at around 5am my time but I didn't stay up for that long! ;D You can find pics and info at msn.com and just click around. ;)
I went out at 1:40am this morning, it was to cloudy to see anything, I was up till 4am couldn't sleep.
I wasn't aware of any lunar eclipse but I did see a moon last night, and it was full moon. :\
I had finals, too cloudy anyways...
I wasn't aware of the Lunar eclipse :(
but It was cloudy and snowing here where I live anyway...
btw, would I have been able to see the lunar eclipse in Norway, or was it only in USA/Canada/Mexico?
I wasn't aware that there was an eclipse until this morning when i was talking to a friend who apparently stayed up til 3:17 to take pictures of it happening.
the weird thing is... i woke up at like 3:10 that night due to forces unknown... normally i sleep well... freaky :\
It was super foggy here. I wanted to see it but could not :<

the magic powers of the glowing moon woke you up...
lol
>Implying that the moon was glowing.
If I remember from school last year... A Lunar Eclipse is when the earth blocks out most of the light from the sun, that gets reflected by the moon. The moon looks brown because whatever light that does reach the moon, it passing through the earths atmosphere, which strips out most of the colors from the white light (light sun gives off, invisible to human eye) leaving a color combo that when reflect again onto the earth (after passing through the atmosphere for a second time) appear brown.
Don't quote me on it tho, i was sleeping in class most of the time :D
