Title: Skyward sword
Post by: toonlink444 on December 09, 2010, 04:03:06 PM
I know that Skyward Sword was annonced awhile ago but I just wanted to get your opinion on the game. Personaly I love the Zelda series. I think they're great. I've preordered the game already that's how exicted I am for it. Are you a big Zelda fan like me or are you thinking it's just anouther Zelda game?

It's just a tech demo to show how to use the Wii controller with motion plus.
It looks boring and there are hardly any items.

It's sure to be another disappointing Zelda game.

But because I'm a retarded fanboy, I'll be preordering it too! (truth)

I haven't seen them mess up a Zelda game yet. :\

by them i mean nintendo, which excludes all zelda cdi crap

By CDi you mean wand of gamlon, zeldas adventure, and Link and the faces of evil. They were NOT made by nintendo but nintendo gave the rights to make the zelda games to the makers of the CDi which I'm sure they regreted.

They had to because they terminated the project to make a SNES CD add-on with phillups

IMO

There was no magic in Twilight Princess = fail (though I did find and enable the useless bar!),
Wind Waker was fun but the sea was too big!

Majora's Mask owned. I would pay lots to have another 'dark(er!)' Zelda game. (don't care about the graphics)

I like the sea aspect of Wind Waker, it makes speed running different. Besides it wasn't too bad if you knew what you were doing.

And Majoras Mask > OoT

I still like windwaker the best though. the graphics make me feel nostalgic and comfortable, while still being modern, unlike MM or OoT (while still nostalgic, just not in the best way)

I hate to dis WW because that was my first zelda game. WW has toonlink who is much cooler than Adult Link. And the graphics make me feel as if it was a video game rather than real life. Which is good as most video games now the feeling of playing is lost in the feel of you are the person. OoT is a good game but half the game is not what all the hype magazines make it seam. TP has a good story line in my opinion, even though the fact that twilight turns Link into the wolf can be hard to understand at first because the way it is explaned is bad. The first game puts me way back. I wasn't alive at the time, but I got the NES so I could play the first to games which if you aren't good at the layout of NES games it can be boring after awhile due to the lack of stimulation. The 2nd is the hardest game I have ever played, because you can be at the final boss of the temple(which they were called not dungeuns) you could die and be put back at the very begining. Not all that fun. The hand held games are good but lose some of the zelda feel because it isn't hooked up to the TV. But ST was a good game. Very short but fun. PH was annoying because you had to go to the TotOK 13 times and each time going through each floor again. Plus the time limit. Bad move nintendo. BelumBeck was a good ending boss I have to say. So look out Skyward Sword I'm coming to play, beat, and enjoy you from the time you come out to the next Zelda game. And to hackers that want to hack this game wait till the next Zelda game, nowing a new game you love(or hate but love the series) has been hacked sucks some of the fun out. Wait a bit please.

In the context of Nintendo's new console, do you think we're going to see another dual-launch for the new Zelda?  Like how Twilight Princess was launched on both Wii and GC?

I thought that might happen too... that would be annoying.

After E3 skyward sword is coming to the wii only. Zelda(or at least I think that's the girl in the trailer) looks..... well weird. It looks good though. IGN showed some gameplay and the wii motionPlus thing looks like a fail.

If all that sky diving was actually gameplay... I'm totally going to hack a flying code. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Unless someone beats me to it, of course. ;P

Same, buuuuuuuut, I beat them quickly.
Title: Re: Skyward sword
Post by: James0x57 on June 10, 2011, 11:50:52 PM
I take my time. Like to do almost everything and look around.

Of course I /have/ to hack codes for it so I will do something.

Maybe I'll keep the tradition and get to do a super hookshot/clawshot thing again. Did the first one with JaytheHam on Wind Waker then I did it on TP GCN and TP Wii and I think I did it on MM VC. :D
Even if someone was trying to snub me from it- finding the "stick to anything" part can be pretty hard... so hopefully I get there first anyway. lol

I must have missed that golden wii remote announcement..?
But I don't have a motion plus so I'd buy that one anyway.
Will look nice next to my golden classic controller from GoldenEye =)

Aren't all Wii remotes now integrated with motionplus?

I was a bit confusing there- since I don't have motion plus at all- I will /need/ to buy the golden wii mote version (which should have it built in).

@toonlink444 I'm a full time web developer. I do like it mostly.

There's only a picture at that link- there's no text about it..?
You implied that the controller was a free bonus with the game- which I haven't read.

I wish we didn't have to wait so long for it to come out! Every time I think about the game I get more and more excited.

God I hope it's better than TP. =(

I'm not sure I'd need to get another Wii-Mote... let alone a golden one.
Although I wish I did get the Golden CCPro, I need a second one still.

Why does everyone seem to dislike TP. Two reason why it's good.(In my opinon)
1. It had a plot that held my intrest longer then some other games.
2. It prevents a bad rash. ;)

Could be an age thing. It seems the younger you are the more stimulated you could be by this game.

I agree with Arudo and the others. TP was nice but I want my ass kicked once in a while! I love challenges.

thats where we come in as hackers if its to easy we make a code that doubles or triples the enemy's health or at least boss's  or somone could make a hack version of the game and change whats needed to make it harder? those are always options
Title: Re: Skyward sword

That's not a bad idea. You think we could create a section where codes are written for enemies.
Ie: WiiRd forum > Wii & Gamecube Hacking > PAL Wii Cheat Codes > Axis/Enemy > Support  >:D

It's almost unethical. Yet it would be a hit. I reckon either you or me write the first one. I guess making Ganondorf invincible is unreasonable but still acceptable. There could be duration competitions.

Miyamoto gave the ultimatum- "If this isn't the best Zelda game ever- then it will be the last one we make."

Obviously he couldn't have meant that- but out of sheer respect I doubt anyone on the team wasn't going to try their best to meet that goal. And you can quadruple that pressure because of the Japanese culture...

So that could very well be the reason for the long long delay- which is fine by me!

Sorry.
One think I'm upset about is that Ganondorf isn't the main enemy. It is some other goblin like character.

You can get Twilight Princess now as 'Nintendo's Greatest Hits' for like 20 bucks I think. Instead of the 60 it used to be.

Ign showed them fighting an enemy they said was the main boss. Not the final dual but something like zant. So mabye it's a secondary main boss like zant. from TP.
