Option 2: unable to boot channels regularly (semi-brick)

k, so preloader is supposed to help wii right? i disagree. i never had any problems before i had preloader and now they occur. i used to use netflix before i had preloader and now i have preloader and upon going back to the menu i get the following error: the system files are corrupted. i never got that error before. Also, i get that error in Wii fit plus that i got for my mom. She went back to the wii menu while in the main menu of wii fit plus and said the system files were corrupted. So i rebooted my wii and everything was fine. Now when i reboot my wii i get the error everytime. I cannot get to my system menu. I think this may be a bannerbrick. I don't know. How do i fix this?
and I have the original Wii fit plus game disc booted from the disc channel.
Edit: I guess preloader has been known to cause unexcepted problems. I guess I won't be using it until I get it fixed or buy a new wii and start all over.
Edit2: changed title and message icon.

Do you have bootmii installed on your wii?
preloader = kill your wii
don´t use this shit, I always noticed that this app is stupid! (gives error messages on system menu boot etc.)
Whats preloader?
If Preloader still works, and you only have BootMii as IOS, then I wouldn't remove Preloader yet. If you remove it, and your System Menu still doesn't work, then you may end up with a full brick that can't be fixed with software.
What System Menu version did you have, and did you install any WAD files to your Wii? That is really the only thing that could cause a banner brick. If you installed a WAD file, then you may want to try removing it with a WAD Manager (make sure you delete the correct file if you do this).

I've never had a problem with any version of preloader. You must be doing something wrong.
why does nobody complain about bootmii then?
This app is awesome, but preloader sucks hard. Someone got a fullbrick from installing this app as a "brick protection" :o
Ok... though I don't know what it is, I do know that I won't be installing preloader.
With Wii Fit Plus, are you trying to load it through the System Menu, or Gecko 1.9.3.1? Assuming that you have the correct IOS, I don't see why the game wouldn't load for you.
Do you have an old NAND image made with bootmii that you can roll back to?
I would dump the saves from the SD card onto a PC before deleting them. Just in case.
Forgive me for not reading the entire post, but I've had a similar thing to you in the past that made no sense.
I had just finished gaming and shutdown teh game to the system menu. I made a backup of my save, then went back to the HBC channel in order to boot GeckOs again (I need to do this for newer games in order to play them)
It froze on a black screen and forced me to pull the power cable. I waited a minute, plugged it back in and turned it on.
Upon loading the system Menu, I get a message saying that system files are corrupted...
I shut the wii down again and boot it back up, reaching the System Menu without any problems.
This has happened a grand total of about 3 times and I've not had it since. Been a while, too.
BUT, I have noticed that when I turn the wii off, it can take about 10 seconds befoer it turns of.
I only have Bootmii as boot2, HBC, and never used preloader.
Think it might be a similar thing?
K. For the record, that error generally happens when you update/change the system menu IOS. just un-install and re-install priiloader.
