Title: Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes [SB3E08]
Post by: BahamutLagoon on October 14, 2010, 05:42:37 AM
I don't actually have the game yet and I'm not sure if anyone on here does but I figured I'd make a request topic any way since people will be looking for codes at some point.

Infinite health, etc. Or even a port of all the codes ZiT made for the Japanese version?  :)

Since warlock posted here too, i guess i will.  I would really like to be able to get past Nanbu's stage on hard.  I had 30,000+ combo, and got wasted at the boss.  dam terminator zombies

I've tried the NTSC-J codes on this and it froze the game after I beat a stage.  Weird.  Hopefully someone can come up with on and/or convert the codes over.  I guess I could give just that code a try and see what happens.  LOL

it works a little.  warlock tried ALL the codes.  the exp code by itself will work on the first stage you play.  but after that it doesn't come up anymore.  I'm resetting every time to get it to work again.

I was testing them out one by one (started with the Player 1 codes of course) and none of them worked.  Out of the whole entire top half of codes, the Koku MAX code works but as bruticus0 stated, you have to reset your system in order to get the code to work after the first battle.

The code that was causing the freeze was Infinite Health ASM ver.

Skiller gave us a reply at CMP.  Hopefully he'll get to it this weekend he said.  In Skiller we trust.  So maybe it won't be much longer.  He'll probably post to the database when he gets it done so everyone can see.  Be sure to give him thanx when he's done.  He's helped me each and every time I've asked for somethin.

i used to barely know anything about ps2 addresses.  I read what the MEM pack is after your post.  I don't have any way of extracting it though.  The most I could do is rip my disc with my wode and host it somewhere..lol.  By all means if you can get the mem, go ahead.  It would be a help in gettin the process started i'm sure.

It doesn't make it harder :P j/k

Starting a new character after one stage you get to level 36.  Then it's 52 I think.  It gets slower from there.  66, 75.  The problem is, the code gives you 999,999,999 KO exp you can see from the pause menu.  But when you go to the stage tally, the max you can have is 99,999 KO exp.  Then your other exp gets added.  Without the code you normally get about 10,000 or so exp per battle, dependin on how you do and the exp modifier.  So basically you get about 80,000 more than you normally would.  So you get almost a whole playthrough for one battle.  It also levels up all your arts quickly.  You will have two outta three special arts unlocked after first battle.  Reset and do a second battle and you'll have everythin unlocked and the special art levels maxed out.

Just for those of you who haven't read the SW3 topic or have missed it.

I will not be working on hacking this game. That is all.

???? does someone request it to you??? i dont see your name here requesting you something well im just asking cuz i know that you said youre done with codes or with these games something like that

I asked him to look at the health code.  He did SW3 quickly, I thought he might be interested in this game too.  Since we're all sengoku heads 8)  But he doesn't have any interest or anythin, so we're still at square one kinda.  I missed the discussion in the SW3 thread i guess.

What bruticus said. I'd really prefer if you guys didn't PM me to hack codes, just for further reference. I'd be more interested in Basara is Capcom included Dual Audio, so I'll stick to the NTSC-J version.

I would like to import it just for the use of the codes.  But i'm not well versed in Japanese.  I can't enjoy a game without being comfortable with the language.  I know language is important to some people when it comes to ports.  I actually think this game was localized pretty well.  You can tell the catch phrases and stuff they use were redone to fit the english language.  They didn't take the straight translation and try to make it work like most ports.

That's a fair statement. To be honest I would have hoped that Capcom would include a dual audio in this release. It's rather odd that they didn't.

This is of course due to my opinion that SW3's English voice acting is rather terrible though.

Okay, now I get why it was stated that the game had to be restarted after the first battle. I wasn't sure if fast leveling would be enough to make it easy since there may be enemies that can wipe you out quickly no matter what level you are.

They didn't take the straight translation and try to make it work like most ports.

true language is important. I have the ntsc-u version and its easy for us to understand if its in english. Zit got the ntsc-j and still hoping to have the usa version of the codes. SW3 codes by arudo were really good. It helped me alot.  Now, SBSW3  ... one thing i like playing about this are the character moves.  The difficulty is way tougher than the SW3 in my opinion.  So its challenge.  A code for this would really help a lot.

:)

You've started with the mem dumps?  If we have that, we could all try looking at the addresses and find the offset between the two.  We might be able to do simple codes ourselves....maybe...lol

mem dump is the wii's memory it uses when running a game.  if we get the ntsc dump we can use a hex editor to try and find the same address the jp code is pointing to.  once you find that, the difference between the two codes (in hex values), should be the difference to most all codes.  But anyway, the main point is, you need a mem dump of a game before you can do any code hacking with the wii.  With a mem dump, any hacker could port codes quickly any easily.  That's one reason why people who already bought the jp game don't/can't hack it, cuz they would have to buy a copy to get the mem dump.

They all work!  Kool beans.  You're definitely spot on.
*Note:  You need to hit/kill 1 person in battle to activate all the above.
**Note 2:  When using this code, it will also automatically fill your Hero gauge (Green circular).   Also when you kill 1
person in hero mode, it will extend the time limit 98 seconds and show 999 K.O. in front of gauge.

This works but it also makes your ally unit as well as your squad leader/camp commanders die fast. You can't revive your Ally if he dies either.

Edit:

ZiT's Invincible Code works and helps remedy the above, but only if the units are around you. Still it helps a lot for Ally bonuses.

Edit 2:

At Battle of Tedorigawa, vs. Maeda (Toshiie & Matsu), Toshiie will be unkillable if you kill Matsu first after encountering them in their camps. After killing Matsu, Toshiie's cutscene plays when it should play at the start of the level when you arrive in the field.  At the start, Matsu's cutscene plays, and then the Toshiie and Matsu retreating one plays immediately after.

Also, at Ueda Castle Flood Battle, vs. Sanada (Yukimura), if you get the camps that open the floor gates to make some others neutral, you can't attack them and make the camp yours. You can however go a far distance from them and let your Squad Leaders take care of them.

Invincible Mode works of course.

Big Arms does a variety of things that I don't think it's supposed to.  First, the map is missing from the battle selection screen.  Stage screen loads fine, but when play starts, all you see is large blue triangles.  Scenes such as Hasedo's play, but the boat and cannons are missing.  Music plays fine, Small map displays, but seems to lock up after a couple minutes.  HUD still visible.

Kasuga Nude Mode works i think.  She's supposed to be light blue?

Magoichi Nude Mode Type A works.

Magoichi Nude Mode Type B works.

Walk thru walls works.  I used it without the activator which also makes enemies smaller...lol.

i'll keep tryin to test more.

No, Thank you very much for taking the time to port them.  Yours and Skiller's time is most appreciated.

Big Arms works now.

Kasuga Nude Mode works-Yes it's the same color.  So it works well.  She's beautiful in anything. :D

Enemy Size Change works.

Is it possible to port the Character Change code?

I wonder what's the button address for the Classic Controller. The only listed one is the Wiimote/Nunchuck.

These are probably all the codes we will get.  Since making new codes takes a lot more time and effort than just porting them.  If I'm wrong Skiller or Zit can correct me.  We should very much appreciate the ones we have and probably leave it at that.  It's not hard at all to get all the weapons and materials with these codes.  Just play on hard.  The codes provide a great advantage, I'm sure all of us sengoku heads are skilled enough to make it through with just these.

After a few tests, I found out the Invincibility code is what causes the Neutral Camps to be unattackable. Just need to add a button activator for it and I think it'll be fine.

For anyone having trouble with this.  This line that's pointed out needs to be changed also for classic controller.  Addresss should be
2A8A7DE2 xxxxxxxx

This is correct right Zit?  288A7DE2 != 2A8A7DE2 The second activator is for letting button go to turn it off I think.  Thanks.
If anyone is really having trouble with changing the button activator to classic controller just ask me, I'll fix your code for you.

zit could you please do something about the weapons? i mean have all materials or x99 materials, all items have those  6 slots for weapons anything would be great thanks in advance

Seriously I know you can do that stuff on your own.  It's really easy.  Just play on hard thru 1 storyline and you will get all the weapons you need.  I mean, look at the codes.  If you put Max Attack on, no matter what weapon you use, you can 1-hit kill almost everythin.  Bosses only take two or three hits.  If you're still too lazy I'll give you my save data if you want it. ;D

but that doesnt matter cuz with materials i can craft things and have those items with attacks etc just doing 1 hit to everyone is beating the game in one day :( i would prefer more some materials or items codes instead thanks for the help by the way

create four of those large luck carts.  play on hard then use the max attack code for bosses when they get ruff.  you'll get a whole bunch of those red gift/item things which are the better items.  Each named general and each base you take gives you an item or red item.  The luck carts will turn the normal black items into red ones.  you should get more/better materials this way.  but playing on hard is the main thing.

my save only has kotaro at 100percent, Mitsunari at 90, keiji at 50, magoichi at 50, oichi at 50, Nobunaga at 20, and I'm just starting with motochika.  Everyone else is at level 1.  I've got hanzo too.  If you get hanzo, you'll be able to find the fugitives.  Fugitives give you permanent stat boosts.  Mainly Luck.  The more fugitives you kill, the more luck, the better items.  If you need help with gettin hanzo or fugitive locations i can give you a link.

hello
someone could help me change the amounts given by these codes??

ATK MAX* [ZiT]
288A7D82 FCFF0300
42000000 90000000
0828CAD8 47C34F80
200F02C0 00000000
E0000000 80008000

DEF MAX* [ZiT]
288A7D82 FCFF0300
42000000 90000000
0828CAE0 47C34F80
200F02C0 00000000
E0000000 80008000

I think having them at maximum detracts a little fun, I like to expand a bit like 2000 instead of having 99999.

thanks

Those look like float values and not Hex, but I'm not too sure how to work float values to give proper numbers instead of just a large face value.

http://geckocodes.org/index.php?arsenal=3

You can use this to convert values.
