Title: Got My Router, Got My SD Card, Now What?
Post by: ACW on September 25, 2010, 07:45:56 PM
All I care about is Accio Hacks.

EDIT: Oh, and I needed to upgrade to 4.3 to get access to the Shop :(

Will the fact that it's 4.3 hurt me?

Do you have the USA version of Super Smash Bros Brawl or any version of Lego Indiana Jones?

Do you have the NTSC version?
If you live in America, you probably have.

If you have it, read this (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Smash_Stack) to know how to boot the HBC installer.

Does it being 4.3 matter?

No, it does not.  However, you will need to patch IOS36 if you plan on using channel cheats.

Also, the Smash Stack only works on the NTSC version of Super Smash Brothers Brawl.  If you don't have the NTSC version, then you will need to use Indiana Pwns or Yu-Gi-OWNED!/Yu-Gi-Vah.

I'm almost 100% sure my SSBB is NTSC, but is there an easy way to check. And I'm not sure what "patch IOS36" means.

If you live in America/Canada/Etc then it will be NTSC. PAL is Europe.
Nice, I'm NTSC then
Now I just need to find out what patch IOS36 means.

Sorry, didn't see your reply.

Anyway, do you want to use channel cheats and/or the Rebooter?  If so, then you will need to patch IOS36, which is basically a Wii system file.  If you don't care about channel cheats or the Rebooter function of GeckoOS, then patching IOS36 is not necessary.

Just use the Smash Stack to install the Homebrew Channel, and then you can use Gecko and Accio Hacks through it.  If you don't want to install the Homebrew Channel, then you might be able to run both things through the Smash Stack, although I am not sure how Accio Hacks works.  If you plan to use both homebrew applications through the Smash Stack, then you will probably also want to download a homebrew loader.  Numerous homebrew loaders are listed on the link below...
