How do I play Super Mario 64 with codes? I tried "launch game" but it says there's no DVD in the drive and there's no other option showing up...
wth!?
you mean launch channel!
Where? I don't have that option in Gecko :(
gecko 1.9.3.1 ;)
Gecko OS 1.9.3.1
Wii 4.3?
yep
got that all done. now i think i installed ios 36 but im not sure, cause the option isn't showing up...
hmm try to search on this forum to get it work.
111 made a tut for it
Do you have IOS36 patched, and have you updated since around September 8? If the answer to both is no, then you will need to download version thirteen of DOP-Mii, and use it to patch IOS36. You can download it from the link below...
http://code.google.com/p/dop-mii/downloads/list (http://code.google.com/p/dop-mii/downloads/list)
I'm not sure, but I believe that you will need the following IOS files...
IOS15-64-v257.wad (000000010000000F) v257
IOS15-64-v1031.wad (000000010000000F) v1031
IOS36-64-v3607.wad (0000000100000024) v3607
IOS41-64-v3348.wad (0000000100000029) v3348
Also, I'm guessing that you only need v3607 of IOS36, but I'm not sure. Anyway, download those with NUS Downloader (http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/NUS_Downloader), and place them into a "WAD" folder on the root of your device (SD card, USB device). Then, just basically answer yes to everything that DOP-Mii wants to do, and you should be able to use channel cheats.
If you updated after September 8, you probably have "4.3V2." If you do, I don't believe that these instructions will work, since 4.3V2 added those "Korean IOSes." I'll have to look around to see if there is a workaround for that or not.
I have Wii 4.3U
try 111 tut ;)

So I did what you mentioned in said post but now DopMii can't find an IOS it can use to install it :-/ Something about having to choose a channel that allows fake signing. but i don't know what channel does lol. eugh. im such a noob
hmm maybe try youtube ???
anyone know a IOS I can use ? lol. Looking into this trucha thingy
Ok well this is what I've tried so far and doesn't seem to be working...
I've downloaded and installed DopMii 14.2, Trucha Bug Restorer 1.13 and the WADs using that NUS downloader program thing and told it to pack them into wads for Trucha Bug Restorer and placed them on the root of my sd card. I also placed them in a WAD folder on my sd card for DopMii and also downloaded those WADs without packing them and also placing those in my WAD folder. *gasp of air*
[DopMii] When trying to install ISO 15 v257 I get an error saying I have a new version installed.
[DopMii] When trying to install ISO 36 v3607 I get an error saying I have a new version installed.
[Trucha] When trying to install ISO 36 I get an error saying I need to downgrade ios 15
[Trucha] When trying to downgrade IOS 15 to v257 I get an error saying I need an updated downgrader.
error ES_Addtitlestart returned -1035, maybe you need an updated downgrader
My Wii Version is (Latest, as of an hour ago) 4.3U
My Gecko OS is v1.9.3.1
My Homebrew Channel is v1.0.8
And I still can't load Super Mario 64 or Star Fox 64 via Gecko OS cause the Load Channel option doesn't show up :'(
Either run SysCheck (http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/SysCheck), and post the "sysCheck.csv" file here, or run the HackMii Installer (http://www.bootmii.org/download/), and post the "installer.log" file that it generates. It sounds like you have "4.3V2." I'll have to do some research to figure out how to patch IOS36 if that is the case.
Also, DOP-Mii version fourteen is a "WiiBrew friendly" version, which means that it will not allow you to patch IOS versions. You will need version thirteen of DOP-Mii to be able to patch things.
Hmm. Couldn't upload attachments so I put them in spoiler tags so it wouldn't overwhelm anyone.
The first spoiler is "sysCheck.csv", followed by "Dop-Mii-Report.csv" and finally "Installer.log"

When did you last run the HackMii Installer? From looking at its "installer.log" file, it appears that you have 4.3 version 1. However, when I look at your log from DOP-Mii, it looks like you are on 4.3 version 2. Although, since SysCheck states that you have version 6176 of IOS58, I'm going to assume that you are on 4.3 version 2.
Anyway, I did some looking around for 4.3 version 2, and it appears that you might be able to use the newest version of the Multi Mod Manager and/or a version of the Trucha Bug Restorer to patch IOS36...

If you decide to try these, use them at your own risk! These programs are supposed to use the HW_AHBPROT feature to patch IOS36. I tried to run these programs on UNEEK, which I have updated to 4.3 version 2. However, I don't believe that the HW_AHBPROT feature works properly in UNEEK, so I really couldn't test these. My real NAND is on 3.0U, which doesn't have IOS36.
Supposedly, the Trucha Bug Restorer only patches IOS36, and doesn't require you to install and/or downgrade any other IOS versions. It will require that you have at least version 1.0.7 of the Homebrew Channel, and that it is running on IOS58 (from your installer.log file, it appears that you have this).
If you decide to try one of these programs, ask here if you have any questions.
omg omg omg omg omg! <insert little girl squeal here>
the "Simple Ios Patcher" (sip.zip in that trucha bug post) worked! :o It's the first one i tried and it worked! I can see the channel option and the rebooter option (dunno what that one's for though lol)
thank you!! :)
edit: right, probably should mention i went with "download from nus" to get the ios wad thingies. incase someone wants to do something or something...
thanks again! :)
Finally! That's awesome news!
This should be stickied or we should make some announcement post or something. Lots of people ask about this...
I had the exact same problems as mrdefender. The new Trucha Bug Restorer didn't work, but I tried that Multi-Mod program and was able to patch IOS36 with no problems and no downgrading IOS15. I finally have then load channel option back on Gecko OS. Thank you, 111! ;D
