my wii load homebrew channel (update to 108 on homebrew channel says update available message) but gecko os will not loading it turn into a black screen and my wii will freeze.
i also used gecko os mod (this works for wii games and gc games) and not for wiiware/vc games.
i have trucha bug 1.12 and multi mod manager works.
i used dop mii 1.12 but freeze on startup (the red bar is see and the page are total black) cannot select or something and cannot press a.
iam using wii firmware 4.3 and have boot 2 installed so i can restore to 4.2 but its not working for the programs they still freeze.
Do you have the latest version of Gecko? (I believe it is 1.9.3.1)
If you dont, just try that.
Also, I have found that on 4.2, Gecko has loaded rather slowly. So, how long are you waiting for Gecko to load?
yes i have gecko os 1.9.3.1. already
1 to 2 minutes.
and sometime its loading and sometime will freeze on black screen. hope they fix in the next release.
or must i wait longer ? and how long ?
i see on the log that gecko os support for wii firmware 4.2 and not support for wii firmware 4.3
any help is welcome
Which version of HBC do you use? Up to 1.0.5 there's a black screen issue, that causes apps to randomly crash before loading.
hbc 108. installer 61 hbc 61 (the ios will be used from now on) older used 34 or 38 (for pal users like iam)
on 4.3 will crash every time when i will load it.
gecko os 1.9.3.1. will not load on wii firmware 4.3.
if i use gecko os mod (newer version of gecko os) this will be installed and use ios 236 indeed of ios 36.
any help are welcome.
i have hbc 1.0.8. hbc still works with a new interface look better then before.
or must i downgrade and how to downgrade it ?
anyone ideas for what to do now ?

No i didn't forget, i'm just too lazy to build a "100% legal" version of my "other app". You issue could be caused by Gecko OS itself, i heard several reports of bugs about it, too bad all its devs are gone. Hmm, another explanation would be that HBC or Gecko OS doesn't like something you put into your Wii. Do you have a memory card in slot B? Do you have anything usb connected?
Just to share, I have SM 4.3 with HBC 1.0.8 and Gecko OS 1.9.1 works OK (I have not updated to 1.9.3.1 yet).
i did a research and found the solution if the your shape usb camera in plug on the wii gecko os not working if it plug off then will gecko os working.
strange if you used usb lan adapter or normal usb for storage then will gecko os still working its only a issue with usb camera with your shape.
thank you all of them guys.
gecko os 1.9.3.1 is working on wii 4.3 firmware.
