i just got the updated HBC that that works on menu 4.3.
but i cant use code with VC games now. (no launch channel option)
do i have to do a trucha bug restore type thing again?
what are my options?
any help is appreciated. :D
did you use gecko 1.9.3.1?
only gecko 1.9.3.1 support launch channel^^
trucha bug is for downgrading IOS but you just use launch channel so you don't need cIOS or something like that.
wow a quick replay!
sadly i do have the version of homebrew u speak of but he darn thing wont show up!
the last time i had this problem i had to do a trucha bug restore.
am i just getting the wrong homebrew download?
(i just wanna cheat on VC games so bad since the update)

but all of it options are not available.
do i need to install/patch IOS36?

all of this help is apprectiated but i wish it was leading somewhere...
is there some app i could have installed that is preventing me?
(if there could be somthing else about my system that u need to know to help me better. plz let me know what to look for)
You need to patch IOS36 in order to load channels through GeckoOS. This can be done through a homebrew application like DOP-Mii. Try the last two posts in this thread to get a better understanding on how to use DOP-Mii...

This might not work on the 4.3 System Menu. Assuming that you don't have a Korean Wii, you might still be able to patch IOS36 by first installing the oldest version of IOS41 onto your Wii console (use a program like NUS Downloader (http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/NUS_Downloader) to download IOS41, and use a WAD Manager to install it). If DOP-Mii allows you to select an IOS to use, select IOS41, and you should then be able to go through the process of patching IOS36. Also, if DOP-Mii doesn't work, you might want to try the Trucha Bug Restorer (http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Trucha_Bug_Restorer).
thanks u much ;D
now thats the kind of options i was looking for!
ill give these a try and it should work cuz it aint no korea wii :D
do i need to use a specific version of IOS41?
or just use the latest version?
(using nus downloader like ya said)
;D oh thanks, but DOP-Mii keeps crashing once i start it, i downloaded it from wiibrew so i THINK it came with everything.
(that and i didnt find instructions on how to set up DOP-Mii, but i just put it in apps like the rest of the homebrew apps)
thanks for all this help so far guys :)
The oldest version of IOS41 is v2835. Insert the following into NUS Downloader to download IOS41...
0000000100000029 v 2835
Make sure to remember to pack it as a WAD. When installing the IOS41 WAD file to your Wii console, you will need a WAD Manager. After you install it, select to use IOS41 with DOP-Mii (if possible), and you should eventually be able to downgrade IOS36. If DOP-Mii doesn't allow you to select an IOS version to use, then I'm pretty sure that the Trucha Bug Restorer does, so select IOS41 on that instead.
For the Trucha Bug Restorer, you will need the following files...
IOS15-64-v257.wad
IOS15-64-v1031.wad
IOS36-64-v3607.wad
Once again, you can download those files with the NUS Downloader.
ok ill give that a try ;D
im going try using WAD installer from the homebrew online downloader.
>:( crap i didnt wanna have to use trucha bug cuz it MIGHT mess up my wii.
but thanks for all yalls help, srsly
