Title: Leakers...
Post by: IRS on July 15, 2010, 06:57:07 PM
I wish there were a way to forever remove someone like this.. its annoying as heck when you dont want the codes released EVER and these pains come along. and give your codes out to anyone that wants them and spreads them like aids... seriously what the heck is wrong with these annoying posers? then they act like the own the code lmao unless you made the code.. you own NOTHING.. stupid pains..

/end rant.

i might eventually when this game is all kinds of dead release a couple of codes.. but just invisible weapon codes.. no game ender codes.. especially when all these people are using them for is to get onto the leaderboards.. not just having fun on occassion in private matches.. if they did that i wouldnt care near as much.. whatever... i just learn to never give good hacks out ;) lol

If the codes are released, it means that the creator doesn't care. I mean, if you don't want a game to be ruined with codes, you wouldn't even try hacking it in the first place.....well, I guess you would but still. You can't do anything about the who think they are all badass when they hack and stuff.

I hate online games precisely because a significant percentage of humanity cannot resist the urge to cheat.  Griefers suck.

Griefers (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Griefers)
Didn't know that term. yay

But yeah, people who use hacks in public online matches suck.

lol.
I used to be a cheater on MKW and a known one. I must say that I never cheated for my advantage but in my cheating, I know that I ruined the advantages of others. I quit when I got fed up with all the damn cheaters the game has and all the non cheaters who seem to idolize such people. I mean, some of these cheaters think they are badass, 'epic' or '31337' "hackers". I'm glad to say that I never thought that of myself when I used to cheat. I come from two forums that mainly revolve around online MKW codes, Volderbeek & mdmwii forums. ALL members who have "epic" or some other related term on their user name are noobs. People who don't know scheiss about anything; "OMG I NEED HELP WIT BUTTON ACTIVATARS ON THIS CODE :[:["

Its sad and pathetic yet funny all at the same time.

I need the help of the community to know when online games come out for Wii and when a code works online.
We had a discussion to keep online codes off the database for some amount of time after a game comes out.

btw maybe this would be impossible because ASM codes works online AND offline...

I know, it's all messy. I'll just try to keep blatantly destructive codes off for a while. (it probably wont help the issue at all, but oh well)

only 3 codes are released.. and me and my mentor have a much larger stash of our own codes ;) which.. will not be released. we dont want the game getting trashed out, as it is both our favorite game.

to all leakers that think they are something: stop fooling yourself, you are pathetic. learn to actually hack and not ruin everyone elses skill and stop screwing the game up.

to all cheaters (dont even think us hackers are.. there is a difference): dont complain to us that we are ruining the game.. you are the ones using the codes (especially if they are leaked) otherwise.. its kinda neutral

I'm all for taking on the challenge of hacking a game, even the online side of it...but ONLY for the challenge of it.

I'd mess around and make codes for online games but without any intention of using them or releasing them.  It's just fun to see what you can make.

Unlike a few people, I actually pay for my games.  And when some idiot makes codes and then uses/releases them they spread like a disease and render half of the game unplayable! *looks at MKW*

If you don't want online codes leaked then DON'T give them out to ANYONE.  Sure, make them, challenge yourself, store them away, just keep them to yourself...even AFTER the sequel of the game in question comes out.  Just because there is a newer version of the game this does not give anybody a right to kill off the old one.

This also applies to SELLING them - Ive heard of some sites and code makers making people pay for "VIP" in order to get access to the most damaging online codes.  I mean...come on...  Paying for the privilage to destroy an online game...a game that I PAID for the right to play online?

Feels like theft  >:(

Thats not necessarily true. In fact, for CoD on the wii the different language files in the game disk itself can even change the ASM let alone the WiFi and offline aspects which also change it.

Some games are very well protected against online hacks. (weather they intend to or not)

Either way it makes region free codes very hard. Certain codes that edit files on the disk require language forces.

And by the way, it's best to keep the best codes to yourself. Just make videos and don't give them out to anyone ;)

I was actually talking about paying for my Wii games lol

Buying a game that has online play/functions and then to have that part of the game, no matter how small a part, ruined by cheats until it's unplayable... well, they've virtually stolen part of the game from me.  It cost me money, after all ;)  Just the way I've come to view it these days.
Really big shame :(

QuoteAnd by the way, it's best to keep the best codes to yourself. Just make videos and don't give them out to anyone Wink
Definatley the best way ;)  And glad that you see it that way, too :)

I've seen some of the codes you've created for COD.  Most of them are truly amazing, but unfortunatley, truly damaging :(
Would still love to be able to pick your mind on the creation of them though lol  Just epic. Loving the c++ code injection.

OH, and major, major props for creating the anti non-host code!  Fantastic that we have a hacker with your ability taking on the balance :)

In my opinion if you're not willing to release your codes then you should just keep them to yourself

anti non-host codes can only work if you have host though. Otherwise they could easily be manipulated to do even more damage (because they work non-host).

Its a lose-lose situation.

I made loads of codes for tiger woods 10 that worked online and gave you a massive advantage but I only posted them after version 11 was released. I've made the same codes again for version 11 but haven't posted them as it ruins online play.

whats the point of making something if only you can appreciate it? Thats why videos give others a taste of what they cant have.

i dont mind the idea of posting videos.. honestly its fun to watch them even if i cant have the hacks. plus i have posted a few vids of my own. i just get mad when the people you entrusted with the hacks betray you and spread them.. thats why i have 3 people i share my hacks with.. and even then its not all of them.. one is another hacker with the exact same mind set as me. and the other 2 are my best friends i know i can trust.

pfft i totally didn't even have to look that up on wikipedia...

... i lied :P

and besides if you can trust yourself not to give the codes then you're fine ;)

Well my point was the morality of it, if I ever made an online code that I didn't want to release, I would be the only one that would know about it.

Writing an online code that you don't want released is like designing a bomb that you don't want to blow up.

yeah i'm with you all on the online codes. i hate it. and i hate people that go around asking for online codes so they can chance the leaderboard so there in first place or so they can't dead in a online match but you know it funny i never played a online match or race that had anyone that used codes. i still fine that wierd. but i have a 360 too now. so i have played with some modders and yes i report there dam a$$es for moding or hacking or whatever you like to call it. i make ds codes but never release them. 1. because they don't work right or 2. they worked but only for one level or only for a few seconds or 3. someone else already made codes for that game. so i keeped them for myself. but i also tryed to fix codes on like super nintendo or nintendo games. because i always find a code that don't work and i would just get my code program out and my emulator and just write the code myself. but yeah we need to try our best to stop online cheaters. you know the only two games i havn't used codes on is zelda twilight princess and mario kart wii. i find the boss and enemys in twilight princess to be really easy and for mario kart wii i guess i'm just good at offline races just not online i have gotting second and third place in a online race but that it
