Title: Super Mario Galaxy 2 [SB4E01]
Post by: brkirch on July 12, 2010, 01:14:41 AM
Note that this code currently can't be applied from WiiRD or Gecko dotNET due to its length.  It needs to be applied from a SD card and the debugger needs to be turned off.  Also this code is incredibly complex so there is a good chance that it has some bugs.  Please let me know if you find any.

Credit goes to hetoan2 for:
Powers Last Forever [hetoan2]
Infinite Bee Mario Flight [hetoan2]

How to use
Button 2 cycles through this transformation list:
Button 1 applies/unapplies the selected transformation if it is loaded.  Holding button 2 and then pressing button 1 once resets the selected transformation to the the beginning of the transformation list.  Holding button 2 and then pressing button 1 twice toggles whether transformation enhancers are applied.  Holding button 2 and then pressing button 1 three times toggles whether the selected transformation is always loaded (to select a transformation which is not set to always be loaded, go to Starship Mario).

The only transformation that is always available by default is Flying Mario.  Other transformations will only be loaded if the game requires it for the current galaxy or if they are manually toggled on from Starship Mario.

Awesome, but will the Spin Drill ever be included? Also, if I can't use Gecko or USB Loader, how do I run the code? o.0

Note that this code currently can't be applied from WiiRD or Gecko dotNET due to its length.  It needs to be applied from a SD card and the debugger needs to be turned off.

That doesn't answer my question. In fact that's what it was directed at. :p If Gecko can't run it, what can?

It does in fact answer your question.  You need to load the code from a file on the SD card, like everyone who wants to use cheats without a USB Gecko.

He never said Gecko OS can't run it.  He's saying that WiiRD and Gecko.NET cannot apply the code.  In order for there to be enough room for it, you must turn off the remote debugger in Gecko OS, and if you turn off the debugger then you can't connect with WiiRD or Gecko.NET.

That doesn't explain why it doesn't work then... o_O

It works prefectly, though it was a little difficult to grasp at first.

EDIT: Before you released the code, you mentioned that some galaxies would result in a freeze. Do you mind releasing a list of those?
As of now, it freezed in Throwback and that one waterfall-place-with-the-red-peppers galaxy. It would be nice to know which galaxies we should avoid.

I grasp it perfectly, as it's almost exactly like that from SMG1. But nothing happens.

I tried it again. This time it brakes the game. Won't even run the strap screen. T_T

EDIT: Works now but found many problems:

1, Powers. Can't activate any but Red Star from the SSM. Have to go to a galaxy and save it, (eg. Boulder Bowl, load Rock Mario and store it in memory, then go back).

2, Problem galaxies. Tall Trunk freezes upon entry when Rock Mario is stored in memory as does Rolling Coaster, Freezy Flake, Throwback, Boss Blitz, Slimey Spring, Fleet Glide and the second star of Starshine Beach. Still experimenting to see more.

3, Minor issue but Rock Mario and 2d areas don't mix. He rolls out of them and dies. XD

Will report anything further, also, no Ice Mario? He was in the video. =/

You don't need to keep going to all those different galaxies; they can be loaded on the starship.

brkirch noted that Ice Mario would probably be a patch (though a workaround was being worked on).

I have determined through much testing that almost all boss levels, (excluding Bowser, Squizard, Digga Legg, and possibly few others) will freeze upon either loading, entry, or in Peewee Pirranha's case, exit to map.

Hope is not lost though! Most galaxies that freeze like this WILL work if you enter a bossless level, (eg. Throwback Galaxy's silver star challenge).

That must be one of your other codes cause I can run Starshine Beach with ALL the transformations loaded at once. Climbing The Cloudy Tower is the one that freezes. =P

Hello!I just joined here,I would like if you guys could teach me how to make codes. If you could,I could make some codes you want. Also,it is embarrasing to ask, since I just joined, but I would like to see if someone could make a Transformation code,if possible, with Ice and Flying Mario included. :)

I'm just going to guess on the workaround for ice mario...

Okay, you set it so it uses rainbow mario's model, is colored a light blue, and is transparent, correct? That would seem to be the best workaround.

Yes, but lately I have had a very limited amount of time to work on it.  When I have time I will try to add Yoshi and the drill to this code and fix some of the crashes that occur when loading certain galaxies.

how can you add this to a SD card if it has more than 256 lines? Doesn't the codemanager have a limit too D:

Dry Bones Dont Re-Build [PWNamAtROn3000]

I already made this exact code a long time ago.

It's also on the database

Getting Hit INCREASES health, has also been done. at least its already on the DB under a different name. Is this the same User?
Quote
Damage Increases Health [Anarion]
043CA248 38030001
043B91BC 60000000
043B91C8 60000000
If you don't want your health number to continue to grow every time you get hit, do not use the last two lines of the code. Also, when using this code, do NOT get the health increasing mushroom because it will cause a freeze.

MUAHAHAHAHA   ;D

Using Y.S. Code Extender, you can now use the transformation code while the debugger is on.

Hackers can have access to 4000 code lines, instead of the normal 200-ish.
