Title: Gecko dotNET, what external pointer search application do you use?
Post by: shadowofchaos on July 11, 2010, 04:25:38 PM
I JUST found out about Gecko dotNET, and it looks pretty nice from the Readme (can't test it at the moment).

However, I also read that there's no internal pointer search application (for a good reason from the readme).

What external pointer search application do you guys use for this? (Since I'm assuming WiiRD can't be running at the same time, since Gecko dotNET will be the one using the USBGecko)

The readme is quite outdated.  Gecko.NET has a lot more functionality than described there...I've been steadily adding features and documenting them in the release thread.

Link has mentioned that he wants to write a pointer search app.  I never really use pointer search to begin with, as I'm very ASM-heavy myself.  However, you can still use WiiRDGUI; however, you will need to hit the Disconnect button on Gecko.NET before opening WiiRDGUI.  And you will have to close WiiRDGUI when you're done, and then hit Connect on Gecko.NET again.
