Title: No Tripping Matches (Super Smash Bros. Brawl)
Post by: smk on August 19, 2008, 11:39:21 PM
I don't think anyone will mind if I post any matches here where I used the no tripping code! They're pretty hilarious and others can be quite serious! Anyway, I worked real hard for good quality and I think I found a good middle ground for it, so, hope you enjoy some good matches! These are offline by the way, I'll let you know if they're WiFi by putting them in parentheses. :irule:

Me too! It came out pretty good. Im glad it worked out. I used my DV cam a while back to record documentaries and such, and put them online. Its not the ideal way to do things, but it works, and it works well. Hell, ive used my tivo as a capture box, ironicaly, it was a segment on hacking the tivo.

I built this IR transmitter for my friends computer, and we built some simple software for it... It would be able to learn and play back IR signals from remotes. So we set it up so we can program in timer events. He could set it up to change his cable box to a specific channel at a spcific time, then send the record command to this DV cam. It was a very ghetto'tastic TiVo DVR, but it worked.

I added Ganondorf FFAs Part One to the first post, pretty hilarious matches. They too had no tripping on.

Because many people whine about Tripping and it's randomness.

It's a useless feature to be honest, it's only good thing is the move-induced version of it (fortunately, the code does not get rid of this feature), otherwise, just running and tripping is dumb. It makes you feel like Sakurai put it in there to punish running, it's sooooo stupid. I can tolerate it online but, if it's offline and it's my Wii, you bet your ass I'm turning that crap off because it gets in the way of potential combos and meteors SO much. I can't count how many times I'm edgeguarding and I try to run off the stage and I trip right in front of the edge, not being able to go out there after my opponent and hit them out again or meteor them. It's really, really, stupid and I can't stress how useless of a mechanic it is.

It's detrimental a lot of the time, I don't care if it doesn't occur often enough, the fact that it has a chance of happening is what bothers me.
