Title: Backing up my SSBB save...
Post by: Ciell on August 19, 2008, 08:36:12 PM
If it's incredibly obvious and there's already a topic, shoot me, I couldn't find it.

The Brawl thread says to back up your save on an SD card before you use any codes, but it doesn't work with Brawl. Is there a solution to this?

EDIT: I'm using NTSC-US, if that helps.

You can back up the Super Smash Brothers Brawl save file by using the Save Extractor (http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_apps/Save_Extractor), which can be booted by the Twilight Hack or Homebrew Channel.  Follow the instructions, and it will copy the data to your SD card, and place it in a folder called 'WIISAVES'.

If you ever need to place it back onto your console, you can do it by using the Savegame Installer (http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_apps/Savegame_Installer).  Keep the 'WIISAVES' folder on your SD card, as it will look for the save file in this folder.
