Title: USB Loader use?

Hi,

I'm new to the forums and have little experience with a USB Gecko, i have managed to softmod my wii and have hooked up a 320 GB WD elements HDD and am running USB Loader Gx.

I was thinking... If i were to buy a USB Gecko to make my own codes( Yes i'm confident i can) will i be able to run a game through USB Loader Gx and still use the Gecko interface?

USB loaders only have the old version of the code handler, named Ocarina.  There are some newer code types that you won't be able to use, but they're somewhat rare anyway.  If you search around this forum, you'll see other people who have asked for help getting usb loaders to work, so their posts should help you get the settings straight.  I don't know much else about the process because I use all original discs.

Thanks for the reply but that's not exactly what I'm asking.

I may not have too clear but i reiterate, i have the USB Loader working perfectly and have the ability to apply codes when wanted. A new version released gave the ability for all of the options from Gecko OS(of which i also have) and more. What I'm asking is if i were to buy a Gecko will i be able to use it in conjunction with my USB loader or is it restricted to disks.

I wasn't answering "can I use codes", I was answering "can I use a USB Gecko".  Yes, if you use the right settings.

There are at least 2 usb loaders now with the new code handler. They may not support everything from the gameconfig.txt, but it's enough to play Brawl+ directly and they are using the new hooktypes as well.

I'm not using it to launch codes, i can already do that with the built in ocarina. No, what I'm asking is that if i do buy a USB Gecko will i be able to launch the wiird gui and connect it so i can actually make the codes using the ram search function. If so what settings do i use for the USB loader GX or if that wont work can you suggest one that will.
