Ok, here's the "Always have money code" for NTSC US, I've got it maxxed out.

[Infinite Dollars]
* 045B0268 FFFFFFFF

I'll work on the other ones, but I'm kind of new at this so it may take a bit.

I had to make it myself, because I have no idea on how to port, so I may never get the other ones if I can't figure out how to make them myself because every time i've tried to port, it didn't work.

Edit:
After searching I finally found the address for the current item, and I found out that the address is the same as what's in the PAL list. The other one works for me also, has anyone tried them? I need to find out why they work for me if they don't work for you, and why my money code is different.

Edit 2:
Ok, so the memory addresses are the same for the items multiplier and the current item type, but the button press is different, after finding the correct button activator for NTSC, I've modified the following code:

Itemx20 [Thomas83Lin]
284E9EF8 EFFF1000
04C030A0 00000014
E0000000 80008000

*Press - to Receive 20 of the Item your Holding*

For NTSC US it is:
284E9EF8 00001000
04C030A0 00000014
E0000000 80008000
*Release all buttons and press - to have 20 of what you're holding*

But the last code, the item type modifier, works fine.

Big thanks to Thomas83Lin for finding these codes first and giving me something to work with.

I'm using OSSleepthread

I rehacked it and found the address despite WiiRd giving me a false negitive it's the same as the PAL version's address

R3RP8P is the full ID I think the last 2 characters are unnecessary anyways E = NTSC US P = PAL J = NTSC JAP

Oh and I made a code http://wiird.l0nk.org/forum/index.php/topic,5253.msg44855.html#msg44855

Strange, it works every time for me, I'm not sure what the problem is, but I am using ossleepthread and v54-fat configurable usb loader.
I found it by searching the exact value from the menu, and because I am lazy about putting my cheats onto the sd card in txt format, I've just been pushing it via the gecko. I don't know if having it loaded and locked in memory from boot may have something to do with it not working, or why it works consistently for me, but if anyone can try pushing it once the game has loaded and is in the menu after having earned some money from a race, I would like to understand why it's doing this as I am a noob to wiird and I had to update my usb loader to be able to hack this game. I also did not check to see if the money code for PAL worked first, just started searching.

It may be something that has been introduced by the loader or my dump as the button activator had to be different for my version as well, as I searched for the button that I'm familiar with searching for (-) and haven't been finding negative values.

Mine also does not change lifetime miles.

I'll try to use the original disc later.

Edit:

I'd like to find out more about false negatives, why do they happen? How can I tell when I get a false negative?
Title: Re: [Request] Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing [NTSC-U] (R3RE)
Post by: wiiztec on March 09, 2010, 03:28:25 AM
By false negitive I meant that I searched for something and WiiRd told me it wasn't there when it was, in this case I had search for the money value and got some results then I bought something and searched again and WiiRd returned no results, the first search only turned up like 20 something values so I decided to undo the second search and look at the results from the first search in memviewer and the first few addresses from the results I found the value that I had searched for in my second search I poked it and sure enough it was the money value address

This is not the first time I had encountered a false negitive the P3 & P4 health and chakra codes for Naruto Shippuden Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 all turned up false negitives. I had caught it then because I had known the pattern the addresses followed from hacking the same codes for P1 & P2

So when I get a false negative, I can tell it to undo the last search? Would it be wise to search again in case the next search doesn't hit a false negative if I have too many results?

By adding a simple check the code can work properly with the remote rocket although it might be better off without it

no that's not a glitch it's because the code is always writing in the value for the all star item when normally when you use it it sets the item address value to 00000000

this will work
284E9EF8 00000004 <-- press down on wiimote dpad to equip the all star item

i would like to request a few codes for this game, if anyone is willing to do them.

1. Infinite All Star for P1 (what i mean is, once you activate All Star, it never runs out, so there's no need to constantly use the item mod for it)
2. Max mileage after obtaining some (the stuff used to buy new racers)
3. Shield Sphere item never disappears for P1
4. Punching Glove item keeps bouncing off walls
5. Horn item never disappears after activate for P1 (Horn blasts forever)
6. Banana peels in "Super Monkey Ball" stages don't trip you

Joke or not, not possible.
I'd try some of these reasonable requests, some I've already done. But this game is so boring to hack. :(

By the way, can you guys believe that the 'Sonic&SEGA All-Stars Racing' game on mobile devices is the absolute same as the console counterpart? Its like $1 for mobile while SEGA was asking for $50 for console game. xD
