Although you solved that problem by using Google Translate, to fix it in the future, change your character encoding to Japanese (Shift_JIS). To do this in Firefox, go to
View >> Character Encoding >> More Encodings... >> East Asian >> Japanese (Shift_JIS). Use Google to figure out how to change your encoding if you use a different browser (or if my explanation is incorrect and Linux only, but it shouldn't be).
By doing that, the proper Japanese characters should appear normally.
Can anyone tell me how to use codes like these?
EXPx acquisition times
42000000 80000000
040ED1E0 60000000
040ED1EC 1C00000A
E0000000 80008000
The default is 10 times
Beneath the three rows of data, like four-digit decimal number 16 please change(i dont get this part)
SPx winning times
42000000 80000000
040ED28C 60000000
040ED298 1C00000A
E0000000 80008000
The default is 10 times
Beneath the three rows of data, like four-digit decimal number 16 please change
That code increases the amount of experience and SP you get.
The A in the 3rd line is the multiplication. (A is 10 in hex)
So if you want to have double EXP you replace the A with 2:
040ED1E0 60000000
040ED1EC 1C000002

From reading the codes I understand the DLC Titles aren't included, could this mean they are not actually on the Disc, but are True DLC?

Costumes so far...
Here's some DLC costume code from 2ch: http://schiphol.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/gameurawaza/1260154003/
Asbel ToA
42000000 90000000
0401574C 05000091
04015750 00000506
E0000000 E0000000
Sophie ToA
42000000 90000000
04015F30 01280000
04015F34 05060000
E0000000 E0000000
Cheria ToA and Boa
42000000 90000000
04016E4C 02340000
04016E50 05600235
04016E54 00000506
E0000000 E0000000
Skip DLC Check
04248870 38000000
from what I understand the DLC for ToA and BoA costumes are on disc already, using the code can unlock them. When you save with the code effect on, next time you load, the game will check for DLC files and if it cannot find it then the save can't be loaded, that's what the last code for, to bypass the check. I don't have the game yet so I can't check if they actually work.
Also I believe the new Idolmaster and Miku costumes are not on disc so no code can enable them.
Can anyone find an all weapons cheat because ive been searching for a while and could never find one.

Here's some DLC costume code from 2ch: http://schiphol.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/gameurawaza/1260154003/
All those that say ToA don't you mean ToV? (If there are Abyss costumes I didn't know. o.o)
Anyway Thanks, I'll try these when I can.
oh right, it's ToV costumes, silly me was thinking of ToV's ToA costume :P
I tried the DLC check skip, but when loading the cheats, it gives me an error screen? Maybe it's buggy? The costume themselves work fine but when the DLC check skip is enabled, the start up gives a black error screen.
have you tried to use only costume codes, save [to a different slot just in case], then turn off costume codes and turn on skip dlc code? that seems to be working for some as discussed in that 2ch topic.
yes it worked thank you ;D
I need some help here. It seems no matter what I do I can't get any code for the game to work. I'm using...
Neo Gamma R7, IOS249 (Rev 14)
IOS61 installed
cIOS installed
I set the hook type to Wii pad (Classic Controller) and in the config options I tried setting the ocarina to SD(Using cIOS), SD(Using IOS36) and SD(Using IOS61). Everytime I tried it said "SD cheats found. Applying" but when you actually test them in game they never work. It's as if I never turned them on. I know my STGJAF.txt and GCT file are fine or the "SD cheats found. Applying" wouldn't appear....What am I doing wrong? DX
What cheats are u trying to use.
This... hasn't been updated for a long while, but sticky says to post here.
I've translated (roughly) the codes from the txt file posted. I've copied the codes from the original site to prevent any confusions in the codes caused by Google Translate, but there's a slight problem.
Do these codes actually work with the bug-fix version? Some of the codes seem to work, but others are practically useless (unless my own translations and Google Translations are really off, making me using the wrong code). If they are useless in the bug-fix, can someone port them to the bug-fix version?
EDIT: Never mind, I found the codes. But while on the subject, can someone make a code to disable the Richard check the game forces (if you try to put Richard in your battle party, the game freezes; obviously I want a workaround if possible)?
Is this code works on dolphin? I tried the exp and sp multiplier and got black out.
Meh, while I'm waiting, I decided to "translate" the codes from here (http://www.geocities.jp/writzkzo/wii/stgjaf2.txt).
I did use Google Translate to try to translate what the codes do (I'm not sure on some of them), but made certain to use the codes supplied by the actual site, not by Google Translate, since it jumbles up codes when it "translates", so the codes do work.
Note that they only work on bug-fixed version.

Re-re-requesting the Richard enabler thing.
Re-uploading the codelist. Some modifications done.
Clicky here (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8G9Q5U7E).
i've tried to use the exp code but the screen froze...
Are you using the correct code?
I think it's different between the bugged and the bug-fixed versions.
Can Someone Make an Encounter Mod like the one in Tales of Symphonia/Symphonia DOTNW
I want to fight 2 Veligue's and 1 Solomos in the same battle
And what about the music Mod finding more songs
Sorry to shoot you down, but the fact that this thing didn't even have that much activity in this forum in the first place... you're being a little hopeful.
Not only that... but this had a... well... superior port.
I say that because it's not a simple "hey, let's put in extras" like the other Tales games. This had a completely extended arc that had 3/4th the length of the original story script. A lot more content to mess with when PS3 memory hacking is able to be done. (not sure, haven't looked into the PS3 homebrew scene at all much)
I really don't consider the Future Arc apart of the story since it wasn't originally intended o be there I take it as a extra like the symphonia sequel.
PS3 doesn't have code hacking(as far as I remember, I no longer look for codes as much and I gave up all hope for someone making a Cheat System for the PS3) Even Though I've gotten used to Axcel Mode and the truckload of extras DLC Music,Costumes.
I'm really stalling for the US version that gets released in February.
though i'm going back to playing Phantasia(PS1) I've finished Symphonia and I know i'm striving for a 100% in Sonic Generations.
Tales of Graces came out originally on the Wii (Japanese release) and some people got into the game code and understand it. I am hoping for someone who got into the code or is willing to look at it. Here is why.
Graces has attribute weaknesses on battle combatants. You can see them in battle by pressing some buttons and they are recorded in your enemy book. Human, Beast, Plant, Amorphous, ...; Burn, Freeze, Paralyze, Poison, ... You can stun an enemy by hitting all of its attribute weaknesses.
You get 2 slots for these effects on each of weapon, armor and gem. Strictly speaking armor gets X-weakness. X-Freeze is protection from Freeze.
Question 1. If I have an attribute in all 6 slots, does the game pick 2 statically or dynamically? Does the game give me all 6? Does the game give me the 2 attributes on the armor and 2 from the weapon and gem?
* * * * *
There are special qualities in new game + and you get to put one of these special qualities on weapon, armor and gem giving you three.
half damage from female enemies
double accuracy
double Gald
First hit does not cause stagger.
These are the ones that I personally care about although chance of 10% less damage is a worthy contender.
Question 2. Do I get all 3 when they are different or does the game use its dualize rules to give me 1?
Holy wrong section batman.
I've moved this to the correct game section and merged it with the existing topic since ToG is a Japanese release only game.
Regarding your issue however... I haven't had very much luck at all with finding weapon values/shards and such.
Sorry. Thank you for reading my post. Even though there is no interest in cheat codes I believe there is interest in the battle mechanics of the game. At least a lot of people like the game play and when the port comes out in Europe there will be a lot of people playing.
Isn't the European release technically for the PS3 version and not the Wii one?
Stuff does get changed in a port unintentionally but I expect that the battle mechanics are the same in the PS3 port.
Ah, I see what you mean. I think you're better off asking that on the gamefaqs board though in regards to battle mechanics though.
There has been no interest in the battle mechanics of graces. I posted my questions there first.
There is no analysis of enemy attacks. There is no analysis of what your characters are weak to. It seems to be everything. There is a weakness attribute for each class of enemy, ie. Nova, Machine, Inorganic; the status effects; the weapons, ie. slash, impact, strike, aerial,
In particular I would like to know about Solomus' attacks. I can beat Solomus on chaos but I want to beat Solomus reliably on chaos and without using an Elixer or Life Bottle. Having gems to block Solomus' attacks help.
You get 3 clones of Solomus at certain points.
In the PS3 version at
clone time Solomus'es attack with Holy Lance, Shooting Stars, Indignation. What are the weakness attributes of these when Solomus uses them? Is it straight magic damage? Is it dragon/human damage?
There is a faq on dualizing mechanics. There is no complete description of how the rank 7 qualities work. For instance Bruiserine. It is related to staggering. It says first hit does not stagger. Being as enemies rarely hit you just once what is the point? My understanding is that you can stagger from the first hit but that if you do not stagger from the first hit, then you will not stagger.
There is no complete description of what effects do. Cheria learns a skill which heals Cheria when she heals an ally. Does one of the effects attainable on weapons do this also? Restore ... when does it work?
