Title: Wii Save Extractor Error
Post by: eTristan on November 27, 2009, 05:11:35 AM
Hello, WiiRD community!

I have recently decided to hack my animal crossing city folk town, so I need to extract the save file. When I try to do so, I get an error for some reasoin. My wii is 4.2u system menu, with the latest HBC installed using bannerbomb. My City Folk game is not a backup, and is a US copy. Here is what it says:

[*] Insert the game DVD...
Press RESET or A to dump the savegame...
Press POWER or B button to back to the wii system menu

[*] Reading Game Disc... OK!

[*] Identified title: 0001000052555545
[*] Title data directory: /title/00010000/52555545/data

[*] Dumping Savegame data (please wait)... Error! (ret =-1)

[*] Press POWER or B button to back to the wii system menu...

Does it matter that I'm using a wireless Gamecube controller?

My SD card is a Sandisk 4 Gig MicroSDHC with adapter, which I read on GBATemp is a 100% compatible card.

The save extractor is a very old homebrew.. it uses an old libogc and cannot handle SDHC cards at all!

Thank you, I just used my mom's sd card and it worked fine.

But on the side,

are their any good save extractors that do not permanently edit your NAND or require cIOS?

Shouldn't the one you use (Waninkoko's) exactly do that.. just copy a savegame?

One that still takes SDHC and doesnt edit the NAND.

My moms real weird about letting em use her sd card.
