Title: SD Codes not being read
Post by: Unicorpse on November 17, 2009, 03:55:38 AM
I used the Gecko code manager to make the .gct file.  I followed every tutorial ever and placed it with the correct ID in the correct folder. It is in both (sdcard):/codes and (sdcard):/data/gecko/codes  or whichever one it is.

I have made sure it is the right ID by checking it with the one  on the geckocodes website and the ID my wii says it is when booting the game through gecko os. It is the same for both.

I have enabled SD codes being read in the config section of OS gecko.

Everything matches up perfectly in all the Youtube videos that have tutorials how to do this, except when I run the game os gecko says "No SD codes found" while in the video theirs are miraculously read.  Is it my SD Card? I have made sure it is not locked.

Any help would be appreciated. As it happens with every game.

Just guessing, but is it a SDHC card?  I don't think that would make a difference, but maybe it does.

Also, what firmware are you on, and what game(s) are you trying to run cheats on?

Did you make sure to change any files that ended with .dol to .elf?  I had the same problem as you and for some reason that fixed it.
