Title: Can Usb gecko work on a mac

I have a powerPc mac with mac os x Tiger on it

The USB Gecko will work there is just literally no software for it! (WiiRd is Windows only - and the console app is also availible on Linux)

Could the console app be ported to Java, so it is portable?

Well, yes and no.. yes, it is portable.. all my code is open-source so YOU(!!) can port it.. but I won't, I went through hell to port the complete interface to C# - including a documentation on how to use it - because it was requested just to see that it (probably) was never ever put to use.
