Title: usb gecko help
Post by: ROBINHOOD on October 09, 2009, 10:15:12 PM
i got my usb gecko today and i red that little tutorial and pluged everything in. it came up to a screen on my laptop saying install software, do not install, and do not install and do not ask again for this divice i picked the do not install and waited 10 minutes. nothing happend. so i unpluged the usb from my laptop and pluged it back in. this time i picked the install the software. i waited for it to finish. when it finished i unpluged and pulged back in. it didnt detect the usb being pluged in. i tryed like 3 more times and nothing happend. i did a system restore to try to uninstall the software. after the restore finished i tried again. again it did not detect the usb being plugged in.

i have windows vista
firmware 4.0 on the wii.

To be a bit more helpful, once installed nothing major really happens, its just installed. it's then down to you to run agame through gecko os and run Wiird

It's a USB Serial Converter

Screen grab of my device manager showing you how it shows up etc

1. Put the usb cable in a free USB slot
2. Let Vista install the drivers
3. wait
