Title: Is there a way to search for u64 while debugging?
Post by: giantpune on September 23, 2009, 01:45:33 PM
What I am looking to do is find the part of the game that says to exit back to the system menu.  In homebrew we do this by calling Wii_LaunchTitle(u64 title_to_load);.  I know real wii games don't use the same function, but they must say something to tell the Wii to load 0x0000000100000002.  So I am wanting to make a code or patch to change the u64 that is called when you exit a game.  With the end result being that you can load a game from geckoOS, play it, and when you exit the game, you will be back at a geckoOS channel.  Is there any way to search for u64 while debugging?

Yes, you have to go to the Memory Viewer tab -> click the radio button with ASCII -> put your text in the box and search.
If you cant find anything try to search in Mem2.
