Post by: redness on September 16, 2009, 08:36:54 AM
I keep getting this message whenever I try to run Madworld or Animal Crossing: City Folk.

I'm sorry I'm new to this, how do I fix this? what is an IOS?

the numbers for the IOS's given were 53 and 38

If you have the latest version of Gecko, then it should install them automatically.

I'm having the same problem.
I have Gecko 1.92 but it isnt working it just says

This Game Requires IOS --
IOS Not Found on Disc

And on the main screen it says at the bottom Using IOS 35.

Is there anyhting else I can do to fix this? I was using Gecko for a long time and it suddenly stopped working so I updated my version of Gecko and now I get this.

Thanks for any help.

Only stupid pirates using brickcrap or an update blocker on their modchip should get this error.

The IOS required for games is ALWAYS on the disc, so far there are no exceptions to this rule.

True.. even for games which were often mentioned as "contains no update" - the update partition at least contained required game IOS. So you defenitely have either:
a) modified ISO (brickblock)
b) modchip blocking updates

Gecko OS shows you which IOS to use.. in worst case: get it via Dop IOS!

I am using geckos 1.9.3 and it ask for ios 53 for new super mario bros.
I let it install it and it works perfect.

I am legit disc owner and I do not want any updates on my FW.
I am still on 3.0U

this happened to me when i got the conduit, all you do it update your gecko os and try to load the game/channel from there and the message will say you need the ios... then another message will say would you like to install it.
btw it doesnt only happen to people with modchips it happens to anyone that doesnt have a high enough wii firmware, though you could just boot the game from the disc channel and it will install(unless you have what link said a modified iso or a modchip blocking updates)
