Are you referring to SNES9X GX (http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Snes9x_GX)?  If so, then GeckoOS does not support that.  GeckoOS can only apply cheats to Wii disc games and Wii Channels (Virtual Console, WiiWare, etc?).  Also, a modified version can support GameCube cheats.

From looking at that WiiBrew page, it does seem that SNES9X has its own cheat engine, however.

SNES GX is basically a Wii port of the PC emulator.

It does have it's own cheat engine built into it.

"By default, cheats are loaded from "/snes9xgx/cheats/". Cheat files must be placed in the cheats folder and named identically to the ROM name, except with a CHT extension. After putting the cheat file in the proper place and naming it correctly, you can access cheats in-game by pressing 'Home' after loading a game. A Cheats menu option should be available. "

I'm not sure if you are able to use the built-in cheat engine to look for codes, but the wiki for SNES GX does provide links on where to get cheat files:

http://www.cheatzilla.com/
http://zsnes.zophar.net/cht/
http://www.zophar.net/cheats/snes.html
http://pushstart.online.fr/02_cheat_download_fr.html

Download the "cht" files from there, put them in the "/snes9xgx/cheats/" folder on your SD card (making sure they are named identically to the games ROM).  Press "home" after loading the game and you should see a cheats option.

Enjoy.
