Title: [N64] Kirby 64 [NAME]
Post by: Yoshi52 on September 07, 2009, 05:40:17 AM
First, lol at how its I.D. is name. :P

No, but really, there's a sort of issue with GMO's Copy Ability Mod... See, there are two seperate addresses: One for the HUD and the actual Ability itself. GMO's is, sadly, the one for the HUD, meaning it doesn't actually affect gameplay.

l know this simply because l saw them for the actual N64 GS. l'm simply asking if someone can find the physical Copy Ability Mod. lt should be easy, as both GMO's current one and the one l'm sort of requesting use the same values. So, uh, much ablidged if you could make it. =)

I apologize for the bump, but an actual Power Mod is really simple to make with GMO's Power Ability List; Just search for the value of the ability you have every time you get a new one.

I've had issues with almost ALL Kirby 64 codes. Infinite helath doesn't work, and most other codes just freeze the game solid. o.o

Here's a list of the ones that didn't work, again possibly because I use a GC controller? Idk, I don't have a classic controller. I bought a GC controller with the sole purpose of killing two birds with one stone. :P

Codes that freeze, (last I checked)

99 Lives (Fixed) [Mal1t1a]
051A0DCE 00000064
051A0E0A 00000064

or

99 Lives [GMO]
011A0E0B 00000064

I forget which. :P

Other than that, the only codes I tested that DO work are these two:

No-Collide Enemies (ON) [Mal1t1a]
0518986C 40400000
This makes it so that Kirby can walk through enemies and not get hurt, however, it also makes it so that Kirby can't hurt them either.

No-Collide Enemies (OFF) [Mal1t1a]
0518986C 3F800000
This makes it so that Kirby can walk through enemies and not get hurt, however, it also makes it so that Kirby can't hurt them either.

The latter seeming kind of redundant, as it makes no changes whatsoever. O_o

Good code as it is, many powers crash the game including the most obvious one, the Crystal Gun, (can't be used outside Zero Two battle :p )

I'll see what I can do but not to complain, but to make a full list somehow the power cycler would need to be slowed down. It always ends up skipping 2+ powers per button press. :p

Hi, just out of curiosity, but is there going to be a fix for the Infinite Health code someday?  I noticed the code didn't work before I saw this topic, and thinking it may have been the reason the game crashed on me once...how often though does a code that doesn't work as intended crash the game?
