yeah, they need to be on the Wii's NAND.
You have buy them in the Shop Channel.

thanks for the info, I'll just try bannerbomb again for the updated wad manager (despite the scare it gave me last time I used it)

well that didn't work...good thing dolphin decided to support wiiware o.o
