I updated Code Downloader to version 1.4 today. You can now get codes from all categories. Also I removed the buggy grrlib/libfreetype so the "downloading" prompt is always displayed right away.

@James0x57 sorry I missed your post on wiibrew, and thanks for all your great work on geckocodes.org the page is awesome.

Sorry to everyone but this update only worked for one day. James0x57 added Google Analytics to the end of the page and the file parsing now hangs. I will get another update soon.

The only step of this that requires wifi is 7.

Also i would like to know if a fully patched IOS36 installed as IOS249 can replace the cIOS to 100%. That would be a nice solution for people that don't like backup tools at all.

Ok I updated the code downloader to version 1.5 now and everything seems to be working again.

@Wiipower you are correct in saying that only step 7 "needs" wifi, but not using wifi would add several step. The user is required to download IOS's from Nintendo's Update Server seperatly using something like NUS Downloader (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/NUS_Downloader (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/NUS_Downloader)). I just thought the wifi only directions where simplest.

In regards to your question about using a patched IOS36 in place of IOS249, it seems like a good idea, because as you said some people will be reluctant to use "backup tools". brkirch is the person who would know the answer to this question so hopefully he will let us know.

I have a question. I updated my wii to 4.1 because of the Wii Sports Resort bug, but now i would really like to use wiiware cheats with gecko (Damn you Onslaught!). But when i load Gecko 1.9.2 it just appears the "Launch Game" option and the launch wiiware/vc games is nowhere to be found.

Do i have to follow your tutorial to do so?
And if i follow it and downgraded, will it downgrade the wii from 4.1 to 3.4 or something?
Although i've always had homebrew channel, i've never installed any cIos or anything like that.

If you guys could please just give me some help...

Thanks a lot anyway!  ;D

Yes you need to follow my tutorial or someone else's. You need an IOS with features Nintendo took away, or never intended you to have.
I said "Downgrading" to bring in the kids. Your system menu can remain version 4.1 you just need a patched IOS. This is, as far as I know, the most simple way to unlock all the features of the Wii.
