Since there is no Twilight Princess code topic I thought I would make one.

I just found it kind of strange that there was no code topic for the game that you need to have if you have the hombrew channel.

I already made this topic.... Then they locked it because i asked for the moon jump code. They said "Why do you need that if we already have the super clawshots and the TS spinner codes?"

I was more focused on making the topic so the game itself could be hacked in all catagories.

If the bottom of your Twilight Princess DVD says "RVL-RZDE-0A-2 USA" then you must have this code at the top of the list!
If this is not the first code in the file then it will not work!!

Clawshot(s) will shoot as far as you need them to and return in a mater of seconds (it's max distance happens when shot into the sky and causes the game to lag while it's launching, if let it go max distance it will take 7 seconds to go out and come back due to lag). The best part (and hardest to hack) is the fact that it will attach to anything. Point, shoot, and you're there. (Sacred Grove, anyone?)

You just use the codes that have been there. Don't use the M code, don't use the codes that say "for Zelda v2 USA"
That's it!

That M code makes it so all but 5 of the existing codes work on TP v2 USA. I've provided v2 USA-only versions of those 5 codes above. :)

For some reason, when I use: always have full wallet, ~ arrows & all bombs, most of the music of the game is off, sounds broken, some sound files work, but music sounds broken/choppy . . Why? I'm using US codes (I hope) with US Zelda in a US Wii.

How about codes for bombs never explode and place unlimited bombs?
 
And heck yeah a moonjump code would be good. For places such as snowpeak and all those other places where you cant get the spinner out.
Use Items indoors would be good to.
They should be for version 1 as well.
I would try to hack these... But I dont have a USBgecko.

cheat on USA V2?  I have tried using left d-pad, left thumbstick, left controller tilt, and left controller turn and none of those combos while transform me into a wolf :cry

It doesn't load the Wolf automatically in front of you, you have to enter a building pressing the Left D-Pad first before entering and then you'll be a Wolf. Exiting you press Right D-Pad to change back to Link. It's when you enter/leave an area that you want to press Left or Right on the D-Pad.

BTW its possible using the clawshot code to get get into the Sacred Grove early and get the morph from Human to Wolf Form ability after obtaining the Master Sword. It made getting rid of those f**ing dark Beasts or whatever they are that open portals easier to beat because you can hit the one loner that always makes it difficult with Arrows and knock him down then transform into Wolf form and take out the rest...which usually by then are surrounding you...

The only issue with getting the Master Sword early is that you can't advance through the story 100%. The game gets "confused" in Kakariko Village; I won't say anymore than that (spoilers). I know this since I exploited a glitch that allows you to get the Master Sword before the first dungeon, and I got stuck at that point in Kakariko.

you can skip over it by going in a room as wolf link change to regular link and hookshot over the barrier... or just float over with the super spinner

Ah, I forgot about that. Using codes can help you get out of some situations like that. Without codes though, you can't advance.

Thats a pretty good speed run and yeah,I remember reading about the early sword glitch and people getting stuck later in the game,I watched it on youtube a couple of times,but could never get Wolf Link to Jump off one of those dark beasts to get up to the edge of the screen...was a pretty cool stunt though..yeah,I have used the Clawshot code to get out of some sticky siuations...I dont even know how I did this one ....I got into the Lakebed Temple while still in Twilight and manage to glitch (yes glitch,I clawshot through the hole that was supposed to be in the floor to get out of the room)my way into the Master Key room and couldnt get out and I didnt have any water bombs in my inventory...anyway the clawshot got me out of that sichiation...phew...LOL

Probably the way the game is programmed, it hasn't read the data for wolf or items yet.

Yeah, the regualr hawk-eye lets you zoom in okay-ish far but it would be cooler to shoot moblins from across the desert.

I was waiting for a walk on water code and use items indoor codes to go with this but I'll show you it now.  I haven't worked on the use items indoors code yet.  Some credit goes to James0x56

I don't play majora's mask but what do you have to do to do the glitch in the game?  when I get up on something with the swim in shallow water code link can't get on it and he's like jumping up but failing everytime! XD

thats a MM exclusive because you take off the mask and trick the game into thinking that you had it equiped all the time

Use items indoors.  I used James0x56's use most items in water code to help me.

You could add a button combination to turn it on, and add the code type that turns it off when you press those buttons again.:)

Does anyone know what to do after you beat death mountain, I heard there was something you could do to fix the glitch, cuz i can't go on. In my previous uncheated file both me and my friend played, and i never played through this part, so its even more difficult to figure out what to do.

Yeah,you can really screw yourself if you abuse these codes too much,I got to the point where Minda passes out and you have to take her to the castle but I lost my Wolf multiple attack and needed to beat the creature at Lake Hylia in order to kill the Twilight and there was no other way to do it....that was the end of that game...LOL...if only someone invented a walk through walls code I could turn on and off with WIIRD,I may have been able to get into the castle to see Zelda....

I don't know if this is the correct place to report this or not, but anyway...

I am using the newest version of GeckoOS (http://www.usbgecko.com/forums/showthread.php?t=901), which also has support for Ocarina cheat codes.  When I load Twilight Princess [RVL-RZDE-0A-2 USA] on it, it now loads with sound.  However, none of the codes that I had enabled really work.  I was using a fully completed save file, which was saved at the Palace of Twilight.  I loaded it through GeckoOS, and when I tried the Super Spinner code, the spinner did go faster than usual, but I got no elevation.  I also could not leave the Palace of Twilight area.  I deleted the save file to try again, and none of the codes that I had enabled would work.  I think that these were the codes that I was using...

Yeah, I have been trying to use them in the same manner as I did on the previous version, but they don't work correctly for me on the newer version of GeckoOS/Ocarina.  When I started the new game, none of those codes that I had enabled were working.

Look on the back of the disc to find out what version of Twilight Princess that you have.  For example, I have the 'RVL-RZDE-0A-2 USA' version, which means that I would use the following codes...

well if you have version 2 then you would have to get the code that makes all the codes work and put codes in.  Cause maybe you have version 2 and not version 1.  Try checking again to see if it says 2 at the end.

Nice code, problem though. When i use the clawshot or arrows or anything that needs aiming, it's off the mark. It's weird. O_o

Yes, it's normal because the game originated from Japan, though it is still US TP. Your version is version 1 by the looks of things, if it didn't say 0A (I think, or the 0 after that), it'd probably be version 2.

I tried to put on the following codes: Have Spinner, Have Super Spinner, Have All Items, Have Super Clawshot.

But when I loaded the Homebrew and got to the game, I only had a Quiver (Wasn't there before)

Any ideas? :\

hmmm... when i used them i got all the items... make sure you have all slots available otherwise it may not load them (lack of inventory spots) thats all i can think of 0.o

Well.. I forgot to mention that I delete my TP saved file for Twilight Hack, without backing it up (I didn't really care about my saved slot.) I started a new one a few days ago (To try out the codes), but it's only like 7 minutes in..

Does that have anything to do with it? >_>

yes it does a new save file has 1 or 2 item slots so you need to use the code i posted in the post above yours in order for it to work.

Thanks a lot for all of the help, but it still isn't working. I don't know what the problem is.. Could it be that my Wii is Version 3.3?

I did what you said, and nothing :(

Just so you know, the codes (Brawl codes of course) work on Brawl and stuff.

i had turned on a bunch of codes in the txt file i gave you. export that to a GCT and see if it works first...

Edit 2: Well, a few of the codes work o.O I haven't tried but 3 that you had checked, and they all work. Here are the ones I tried that worked: Climb Fast on ladder, Super Fast Roll and Recover from hit wall fast.

They all worked, and I started out with... 4787 rupees. The only Item I got was the Quiver.

All of the codes seem to work, besides the item ones :\

the new gecko OS doesn't work with all codes so make sure you try regular Ocarina first.

First off...oops sorry for creating another thread..this one just seemed to be pretty full though...and second memorris..as far as I know you dont need to pick up a key for this to work...I'll change the title...thanks...the great codes that have been posted for this game didnt include things like the compass and boss key and small keys...you could put in a code but it would be in your normal items inventory screen along with your fishing pole and clawshots etc...which really doesent make sense because you cant use them...btw,this also works for unlocking gates.....

Hello.  Having acquired GeckoOS I tested it with my Zelda game (v2) and the v2 codes seem to work just fine.  But I seem to be having a problem with the v1 codes I'm using.  The v1 codes I'm using are for Infinite Health, Infinite Lantern Oil, and Infinite Arrows, but all three codes don't seem to work.  -_-  Like I said, though, the v2 codes I'm using (Infinite Bombs, Full Wallet, and Infinite Slingshot Seeds) all seem to work.  I even tried the Infinite Health code by itself with no codes on, and with and without the Must Be On code on.  Still nothing.  :cry

I'm thinking that The v1 codes need to be updated to v2 after all.  I'd do it myself but I'm terrible at hex converting.  -_-

It's actually due to the fact of the version changing of GeckoOS+Ocarina, making the Must Be On code for v2 not work (I believe so anyways). Try using the original Ocarina and not the GeckoOS + Ocarina combination.

Not to be too nitpicky or anything (and please forgive me if I am being rude), but if the problem lies in the Must Be On code coupled with the GeckoOS+Ocarina, then how come the v2 codes work with it and not the v1 ones???  I mean, the MBO code was made for the purpose of making the v2 codes work right???  And the v1 codes should be following along, right???  *sigh* I don't know, I must be missing something here.  :(

I can seem to get every code to work besides the Super Claw shot, and the basic item codes.. But I've had the Master Sword, Ordon sword, Hylian shield, etc before.. that was with hetoan's help.

I used the new MBO Code with ONLY Infinite Health and Infinite Lantern Oil, and I used it with GeckoOS+Ocarina, and the code didn't work.  Link could still get hurt and he still started with three hearts, and his lantern meter was still wearing down.

I have v2 of Zelda: TP by the way.

Yes, I put the MBO code first before all codes, just as you instructed.  I keep double checking to ensure I put it first and have it on before trying the codes, but the v1 codes still don't seem to work.

However long it takes, James0x57, I will wait.  I'm a patient man and I know you'll do your best.  ^^

Okay, I don't think this code works either.  When I tried to load the game using GeckoOS+Ocarina, and it said the words "Found SD codes.  Applying" at the bottom, it just froze there.  I waited for a while but the screen just remained frozen.  I couldn't get out, couldn't turn the power off or go back to the Wii Menu so I had to unplug it.  Sorry, dude.  -_-

BTW, I enabled this MBO code with the Infinite Health code.  I'll just keep using this v1 code as a tester till something happens.  ^^

As is known, the all equipment code will screw up the game because of the master sword. To avoid this, enter this code and you will not have the Masters Sword, but you should have everything else: 044929F8 FFFFD3FF. Take this off before you get the Master Sword. This will also replace your Wooden Shield with the Ordon Shield.

How difficult is it to read whether or not it's V2??

All of the codes are very clear.

They will either say V2 next to them, or they won't, every one without a V2 next to it is V1, and you really shouldn't be complaining because there is WAY more V1 codes than there are V2.

Stop coming back here and complaining when it's been explained to you several times, your just wasting space on this code thread and every time I see a new post, I'm hoping there's an actual code, but instead it's just some guy who doesn't understand a simple concept.

Dude wtf is your problem. I DO understand how to read, Double clawshot does NOT say V2, and it STILL doesn't work. I keep getting the same answer over and over saying I'm using the wrong codes, when I've been trying different codes. How about not being an ass about it when I've tried everything that heotan said.

The newest version of GeckoOS/Ocarina fixes the sound issue.  However, I also have the '0A-2' version, and I don't think that the codes currently work correctly for this version.

U should've posted this in the support thread, er, wait is there even a support thread for twilight princess? Anyways, i believe that it's when you boot the game with ANY code that it has sound bugs, nobody knows why and they're all working on it. Luckily, i'm gonna sell my games so i could get a USB Gecko and help out with the hacking scene. (Yay)  :D

It's about the Ocarina software for homebrew. when i was playing Zelda - Twilight Princess on the stand alone version, (Ocarina v1.0) I'm not hearing any sound (Music) in the opening and the gameplay itself. what's happening here?

That is a known bug on that version of Ocarina.  The version in this thread will fix that problem...

The '0A-2' codes will work on the first version of Ocarina.  However, they currently do not work on any versions of GeckoOS that have cheat support.

Great codes guys. I just barely found out about this (Ocarina) and now I actually have a reason to dust off Twilight Princess and play again.

One thing I always loved about past Zelda games was the ability to look around, with the C-stick for example. In the Wii version of TP, you can't do this. (Though in the GC version I heard you can.)

Would it be possible to change the controls so that you can access this "Look around" feature in the Wii version? I'd imagine the code for it is still there somewhere in the Wii version since it's basically a straight port. I guess you can call this a code suggestion. ;)

It doesn't work for me.  Actually if that was based on the original Infinite/Max Hearts code then it wouldn't work for me anyway.  For some reason none of the v1 codes work for me, only the v2 ones (I have a v2 game).  I think its a problem with the v2 Master Code (or the v1 codes just need upgraded to v2, i don't know -_-), and James0x57 was helping me out with it at one point.  If and when[/b] he gets the problem sorted out (I don't know about it either, because I haven't heard from him in awhile), I hope to try that code out again.

That'd be a nice code for me.  The Infinite/Max Energy code don't work for me anyway so an Increase/Decrease Health code would make a good substitute.

I doubt a tunic modifier would work considering I'm 90% sure the tunic is a texture...not a simple color like the N64 games.

I thought there was too, in my honest opinion, but I double-checked the current list of codes in the database and didn't find one.  An Infinite Magic code would be cool also.  ^^

The Infinite/Max Heart code works with the Master Code and Ocarina. But, it'd be nice to have the actual V2 code so it can be used with Gecko OS.

Ummm...does that code work for the v1 Zelda or v2???  Because I have a v2 Zelda game and the code don't work for me.  I've tried short button pushes, and even held down the buttons, but it doesn't work.

Oh, and don't feel stupid about the magic question.  I honestly thought there was a magic meter in the game too, since it is a Zelda game and all.   :D

You can replace those values with others if you like. Just be warned, you can go out of the stage if you set the values too high. Not quite. RZDE01 is the game ID for all NTSC-US TP games. The difference between the two versions is the code on the back of the disc.

This code still has some issues, I may try to get them fixed eventually.  More specifically, entering certain areas causes the game to freeze, and in rooms where you have defeat all enemies to get a door to open the door may not open even if all enemies are defeated.

I wouldn't ask anyone to do that (besides, I couldn't ship it back as I'm completely broke :P). I obtained a RAM dump of v2, so I'll see what I can do as far as codes go. If future versions of that master code don't work at all for future codes/future Gecko OS versions, I think it'd be more worth it to make manual ports for all TP codes.

@brkirch: Is that just a 'visual effect' code, or is there more to it?

you could add movement possibly by adding an activator to lock the value by pressing a certain value.

nop the address at 8044B5CC (i think) and then set back to normal after you let go of the buttons?

might not be able to be done depending on if the air up that high is a solid object or not.... (some games it is...  like accf)

The pointer is used for other things, so nopping the pointer is a bad idea (speed is one example).

The codetype document says that 4A sets the pointer, and that 48 loads into the pointer. Not to mention, but nearly every code I've seen using the 48 codetype uses the DE codetype.  Anyway, if I don't include that line, the game usually freezes when changing areas.

I don't think you would need a Master code. That Master Code for v2 was made so that v1 codes could work with v2 games, but not all the codes are fully compatible with it.

RRRR = how much red
GGGG = how much green
BBBB = how much blue

just try some values (the values need to be between 0000 and FFFF (it is an hex value so 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F))

Same as the tunic modifier as far as what to replace RRRR, GGGG, and BBBB with.

RRRR = value of red
GGGG = value of green
BBBB = value of blue

Basically, it's like the RGB values in Paint or similar. These are possible values you could use for each:

0000-00FF = (0 to 255)
FF00-FFFF = (-256 to -1)

I recommend you use the pre-supplied values I put, as this code doesn't allow much for 'customization'. For example, I could not get any solid blue or green to work.

@omniferious: Yes, if I can get it to work correctly. Right now, it's too buggy to release.

Naw i dont think thats possible, unless we could break down the codes so it only affects body parts but i doubt it. the arms and everything are all one texture, the only other texture that isnt changed is links straps and hair

I just realised today that my Unlimited Number of Bombs Out code and James0x57's Infinite Bombs code use the same register to store codes in (so you end up not being able to use any bombs). Here's an alternate Infinite Bomb code that works with my Unlimited Number of Bombs Out code:

Replace XXXX with one of the following:
0000 - The game will think you are at the very beginning. Ordon will not be submerged in twilight however other areas will
FFFF - The game will think you have restored light to all areas. If you have not healed Midna by going to Zelda the second time, Midna will be in her ill state and there is a chance that the main game music will become "Midna's Lament" and the area will change as if you had just defeated the Water Temple boss.

There are alot of other combinations for this, feel free to experiment with this.
