Title: can't install gecko os
Post by: rapcon on July 09, 2009, 01:39:09 PM
Hey

I can't install Gecko OS.  Probably because i'm making so many errors.  Can someone make a more concise step by step guide to installing gecko os to the HBC?  i went to wiibrew.org to dl it but from there i'm lost.

You make a folder on your SD Card called "apps" and then put the folder that has the "boot.dol" in it, (the Gecko OS app that you dl'ed.)

Now you should be capable of loading Gecko OS. If it doesnt work, let me know.

i think you put the wrong folder on your SD card.

Make sure it looks like this:
SD:\apps\gecko191\boot.dol

the sd format was great. and that new version of gecko is what i needed as well as how to set up the folder.  gecko os runs now.  but what about the codes? such as code manager? it said RUU1E01 didnt have any codes

Do you have the .gct files in SD:\data\gecko\codes? (or SD:\codes)
