goddamn. ALL of my codes work online... -.-
umm... i'll work on it.
Is this another tough one to hack? I am getting ready to play and start hacking.....
hetoan2, that was gaaaayyyyy, I know you were probably testing your codes out on WiFi but you just RAN into me! (0WN1N)
Plz make sure they never work online, EVER.
no... its not hard to hack per se as it's more hard to keep both the game and wiird from crashing when you make the codes.
Um... to be honest the codes I've found so far all work on wifi. So that means no infinite ammo, HP, item modifiers, etc. (at least until checksums are made)
Any codes you make in ASM you should be careful about cuz they can corrupt your save file.
Weird things can happen too, i made a warp to the last level, but i fell through the floor if i died... weird.
oh and @smk: i'm just testing and stuff :P i try to force lose, but its hard to check wiird and stuff when people kill you. Plus I get angry when people interrupt my tests...
Just post single player codes...If I have time I'll try to get some basic codes, I need to play through the game a little first though...
How do you mean freezes? If the game stops moving, but the music/sound is repeating, then just wait a moment and you will regain control. I've had WiiRD freeze some, but I can just restart that and don't have to reboot The Conduit.(I also tend to think it has more to do with my 10 year old laptop I'm using than WiiRD) I have had the game freeze by changing some stuff in disassembler, but changing it back would unfreeze it. I don't know much of any asm, so I don't know if that could cause more freezeups. Some other freezes were due to me using the wrong codetype in creating a code, which was irreversible.
Edit: Arg my codes work on wifi too...
shark. the problem is that even when making single player codes they work on wifi :|
That doesn't matter, the % of users who have homebrew is minimal and of those people who use gecko os and cheat is even smaller
*shrug*

That's what people said about Mario Kart Wii and look how that turned out... Homebrew is getting bigger and so is Gecko OS. To think that Homebrew is still very small is ridiculous at this point.
Don't release them until they don't work on WiFi I say.
its not that hard to make a disabler. The hard part is hiding it....
also...
how is this NOT ruining the game?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wC5qr-iPfbk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wC5qr-iPfbk)
and it might not be done uploading yet...
Heh, comedy
Is that inf ammo and inf medi kits? Haven't played it yet so dunno how health is modified
Well..if someone has codes can you pm them to me...I dont play online so you can trust me..... :)

Yeah..that is pretty F**** up....Lol....
pfft just wait. People are starting to piss me off. If i get angry enough I'd say the codes could be out by the end of today.
Not here of course. I'm against wifi cheating entirely. I am however a fan of fame...
Why can't I get wiird to run at all? Should I not boot with hooks or something?
do you have debugger on in the options?
what annoys me even more is how people completely flame my video. I didn't even say I was going to release them. Honestly, I don't want to release them, but it would serve them right.
Looks like I'll be making my own codes.....you f***rs better give me some help...if I run into problems...
You shouldn't have posted that video in the first place :-\
And you flowers should help shark2003 if he runs into problems.
jesus christ. those people over react. I posted it to show people here that they would work on wifi and that I cant release them. Now people are angry at me?
people are stupid.
Hey hetoan2, I found something interesting that maybe you can somehow find in the game's memory?
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=163513 (http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=163513)
Read that entire thread, there's more info further inside the thread as well.
It would be super interesting if you could get some of that stuff to work with Gecko OS.
eh... don't use any codes I gave out that are supposed to work on wifi. they ruin your save file...

thats all the files in the game. I'm just posting here for my reference. List created with YS's fst.exe
the CDgame.txt is very important. Easily changeable with GPF files :D

Yeah...this game has been very easy to find codes..health...ammo..etc...and no pointers needed...that really surprises me.....unless...it all changes later in the game....???
nope. Honestly, the whole game looks rushed to me and the coding wasn't very well thought out. Stuff that easy to be hacked is susceptible to glitches.
I am sure there will be all kinds of neat stuff pulled from his game...although...I am actually having trouble finding the X,Y,Z to get a moon jump code...
don't look at changing the Y coordinate. Just look into lengthening the distance for A button jump. Its a lot easier. Even though i made both.

I thought I Had tried that...um..can you give me an address range to search...? Please....
sorry no can do.
does anyone know how to use a .gpf file? >_<
Why?
cuz its easier to make codes that would be used in the CDGame.txt
So, basically all codes HP, Ammo, etc... will work on both offline and online? If yes, then don't post any codes... and shark2003, please keep the codes to yourself if you hacked any.
Off topic: hetoan2, do you mind getting rid your Final Fantasy IV: The After Years codes in the Wii Ware section? As the only code that works is the Gil code.

I dont know if my codes work online but I will refrain from posting them....
Just do a simple search for 1 (when online) 0 (when offline) and you'll find an address to use as a conditional write.
For anyone requesting codes..PM or otherwise...get a USB GECKO (if there are any left) and make your own codes..unless you have the title "Hacker" you can forget about...dont PM me requesting codes....I have disliked online cheaters since way back in the PC Quake III days..and since have never supported that type of cheating...even after getting my assed whipped repeatedly by my brother on dial up and me on cable...LOL...
Quick question - does this require ASM or are simple pokes good enough? I don't have the game yet, but plan on getting it, and looking forward to (hopefully) hacking it. But after I did my Onslaught codes (I don't play online - thus never tested) and found out they did work and most likely ruined the game - I am in the same boat as all of you and would not do that again.
If it does require asm, when I get the game, anyone willing to help me learn asm?
..alright here's a few to keep ppl going, I don't know why you guys haven't posted anything yet. ::)

really? they worked for me. I'll be gone today and tomorrow and I have to leave in 5 minutes. Tell a mod to delete them.
Stop deleting my posts, it doesn't take a genius to work it out
90D39908 is grenade address
Only the 'infinite hp/ammo' have the static wifi flag check.
The other codes are only used offline so theres no point adding the check to them.
Yeah... ;D The Moon Jump Code.... :)

We need a video release on how to make ASM codes...I dont understand at all yet how to make them...but then I havent really tried studying it yet either....
I think romaap made a couple of asm tutorial vids.

goddamn TNTkryzt. Those codes are way too easy to make work on wifi.
Can you at least work on a code to dissable other WiFi cheaters. I formated my computer downstairs and its having issues still -.-
Do not post any codes that can work on wifi without the checksum. People aren't stupid, they have and will continue to figure it out. ASM codes are fine, but do not put a simple 1 line checksum on.
The fact is it doesn't matter how I write the code it will still be modified by those with knowledge and eventually leaked. My take is, if there's no iniciative to improve online gaming security then the future of Wii online gaming will fade out.
If game programmers have no interest in producing online games with decent security measures against hackers then it's up to us to provide the 'kick in the pants'.

\o/
I know this probably isn't the topic to be asking but what the hell.
hetoan2 or someone else that can hack this game, would it be possible to (I'm sure it is) fix the bug where you will some times spawn but, you can't move, shoot, or can be killed on WiFi? That ever so common bug where when you join a match and the game tries to spawn you but, it spawns you either outside the level, inside the level but in the center, or spawns you nowhere but with a black screen instead. It's a real hindrance to my WiFi experience and I almost always have it happen whenever I play the game on WiFi at least once or twice. I'm sure it's very possible to fix this glitch but, whether or not you guys are willing to do it I'm not sure of (much less am I sure of the difficulty to fixing it... however... given how easy the game seems to be to hack this shouldn't be very hard, would it?)
Please let me know if it is at least doable. It's such a terrible glitch.
I know where the player coords are, but i think finding a universal spot inside the level is a bit tricky. Although it could work.
Also. thanks TNT for fixing the codes and making them ASM. How'd you do the 07 ASM stuff? I don't get the syntax for that, but how'd you learn it >_<
PM if you care please, don't clog this thread up more. I'm sure nobody but me cares :|
I can't believe HVS put no security in their game. They also removed my youtube video... guess they don't like that I made them look bad :|| (myself too... damn fanboys)
It's just the CST3: String Code;
06______ YYYYYYYY : Patch code (ba) d1d2d3d4 d5d6d7d8... writes d1d2d3d4 d5d6d7d8... at ba+address. YYYYYYYY is the number of bytes to write
16______ XXXXXXXX : Patch code (po) d1d2d3d4 d5d6d7d8... writes d1d2d3d4 d5d6d7d8... at po+address. YYYYYYYY is the number of bytes to write
..in this case I'm writing to ba+01000000 hence the '07'.
The code can easily be writen with the C2 code instead. ;)
I noticed someone already exploited TNT's ASM non-wifi codes (infinite health and ammo) to actually work online. Surprisingly enough, a single variable was changed. Even easier to make it work on wi-fi than the previous version, in my opinion.
I assume it was TNT's code that was altered because it is the exact same code, with only that one variable changed. I tested the altered code, and it does indeed work on wi-fi :o
The worst part, that someone is taking credit for the complete code. That really pissed me off.
How's that ani-wifi code coming, hetoan? Good luck with that. People are really gonna need it now.
Yeah like I said, it doesn't matter how it's written it'll always be modified to work online. ::)

It'd probably be easy to just disable the problem coords to stop the glitch entirely (unless somehow that would cause a freeze instead which is much worse). However you plan on fixing it (if you actually want to or bother to because I think it's essential that you do) I just hope it works out in the end.

I'm pretty sure TNT released them. Not that theirs anything wrong with that.
I deleted them off my blog but meh. I'm not entirely innocent either.
Volderbeek shouldn't even post codes.
Trust me the ASM version is MUCH better than the ram write.
The ASM versions of the code indeed works smoother in single-player mode. And when altered for wi-fi, the Bazooka is unaffected by the infinite ammo code, so that's a plus.
