Title: Game save region compatibility
Post by: Sheik on May 31, 2009, 11:54:57 PM
I just had a quick question. I have Zelda: Majora's Mask PAL on my NTSC Wii, and I've learned that it seems impossible to use Gecko to hack VC Games of a different region then that of the Wii's System. Therefore, I was considering deleting that, and putting in Zelda: Majora's Mask NTSC instead. Now if I do this, will I need to restart the game from the beginning? or will my PAL gamesave still be useful?

Really? I haven't been able to activate any cheats, regardless of Gecko saying "SD Codes Found: Applying", and I've researched people having similar problems. Is there a way around this?

No, I used regionchange to access the European Shop Channel to get Majora's Mask (Was too impatient to wait for the US release, took way too long) But cheats will not work on it now. But with the release of the NTSC Majora's Mask, I am willing to re-purchase, which brings up my original question about my game save

I have Majora's Mask PAL on my NTSC Wii and I made Codes with No problems.
Make sure your Gecko and WiiRd are up to date
