Title: Madworld Color Issues
Post by: bereezy on May 22, 2009, 05:23:57 AM
Hey, I just loaded the homebrew channes and gecko and am a total noob with this stuff. I'm playing a PAL copy of Madworld on a US system and am having the following issues:
1. On an SDTV, the game only shows black and white, meaning the blood isn't showing up, and even on the screen where it advises you to put on the wrist-strap and the sega logo screen. This is very ironic and annoying. The game is obviously still playable, but I want my blood dammit!
2. On an HDTV the game doesn't show up at all, only sound is present.

Update: Whenever I launch the game it is now giving me a "shaky" screen with fuzzy bars that move down it constantly, and when I try to force ntsc it gives me a pink screen.

If anyone knows how to fix any of these problems please let me know. Thanks for your help and to the devs of this awesome utility!!!

MadWorld is a problematic game.. it does NOT respect your video settings! No matter which setting Gecko or the WIi is running on, the US Madworld will run in 60 Hz (480i) and the EU version will always switch to PAL50 (576i) - this game is not forcable to 480p, PAL60, NTSC or anything because the first thing the game does is switching to PAL50 unfortunately with some messy PAL bars :(
