Title: Punch-Out!! [R7PE01] Error #002 after loading Ocarina codes...
Post by: lordexodus on May 23, 2009, 11:41:45 PM
I added g6flavor's codes into my SD card, then I loaded Ocarina from my Homebrew Channel, but then I got the 'Error #002' blue screen after the codes have loaded.

The game runs fine without the codes, but after I loaded them, I got the blue screen.

Is there a solution to this problem? I really hate losing in a match and starting over all the time, so any help is really appreciated...

P.S.
Should I have used 'WiiBrickBlocker' on the Punch-Out ISO before burning it onto my DVD-R? I forgot to do so...

You are still using Ocarina????????????????
I've played over 200+ matches with the codes already, no loading problems here.

Hi!

I would like to request some codes for Punch-Out playing with "wii motion" instead nunchuck stick button.
I mean for example:

Dodging:

Actually: Left/Right/Down nunchuck stick moves.
Using codes: body dodging (real left/right/down body motion).

Upper punches:

Actually: Up stick + wiimote/nunchuck frontal movement.
Using codes: real body motion of wiimote or nunchuck upper movement.

The main idea is to make Punch-Out controller settings equal (or similar) to Wii Boxing controllers :) !

I hope this can be done with codes implementation.

See ya ;D !

There might be 2 reasons that he codes don't work for you guys
1. User error, NO SD Codes found when booting the game
2. My copy of Punch Out is different than yours

It's not 16:9 , 4:3 related.

I got them working using the new Code Manager 1.2 PC program. I'm on 4.0 with downgraded ISO's. So far I know the health and hearts codes work, but do you have to collect stars first to have infinite?

You don't have to collect any stars, just push - or A at any time to use a 3-Star punch.

Added a few more codes to the list.

One more thing. Is there a code to get the 'Headgear'? I don't like the idea of losing 100 times to get it...

If not, then is there a code for 99 loses?

I have one small code request:

Unlocking "Champions Mode" does two things -

1) Makes all enemy boxers knock you down in one punch
2) Removes the "red flash" that happens before enemy boxers punch

I would like a code that would activate #2, but not #1, i.e. you fight enemy boxers like normal but they don't flash before attacking.  It would add a new challenge without being extremely cheap.

It can be for normal play OR when the "champions mode" box on the save file is checked.  Either way is good with me.

There is a code for unlocking the Headgear without a lose. I'll post it later.

Update: Headgear and Last Stand Chances code added

i dont really think that would be possible. thats like asking to make codes to enable motion controls for a game that doesnt use motion controls (example; super paper mario. make mario move left and right by tilting wiimote and shaking to jump)

Ok, this question is a little different and requires effort...

I found three codes during searching for hearts... So how would you combine them three into something like this?

hearts
  48000000 803A559C
  4A100000 0001D818
  DE000000 81008180
  14000030 42B40000
  14000034 42B40000
  14000038 42B40000
  E0000000 00000000

-----------
These codes are not mine. Can someone explain what is the first, second, third, etc... line means....? Especially DE0000000 81008180????

-------------------

Oh, sorrie, I miss use the three codes... I remember now; forgot to do the pointer again.... thanks, got it to work!

Mhhh... Punch-Out supports controller motion actually ::) ! ...

It has 3 control methods: classic (wiimote only) nunchuck+wiimote (frontal punch motion) and balance board.

How about to make some codes for "nunchuck+wiimote" control method? In that way, we could replace analog stick move to real nunchuck+wiimote movement ;D . For example:

Left/Right Dodge: left/right controllers motion instead left/right analog stick movement.

In fact, there are only 2 basic player movements: dodging and punches  !

Dodging: left/right/down (could be used for left/right/down motion).
Punches: uppers and lowers (lower punch is the basic motion).

I just say that it could be a nice idea to use controllers motion instead analog stick using codes.

See ya ;D !

It might be possible, but the only difficulty is that when you dodge you go back after a second.

I guess that's not a big problem, because you're going to move according to Little Mac's moves. So, if he dodges for a second, then you could wait that second to make another move ;) ! ... (the same thing happens on wii boxing: sometimes when you throw a punch, it gets delayed. Then, you must wait for the next punch).

I hope somebody get interested to do that. It would be great to control Little Mac with just your own motion  !
... and no more analog-stick xD !

See ya ;D !

A code to Unlock all Movies, for files 1 and 2

I need it for 2, i forgot to watch the training cutscene before beating the game =\

All songs unlocked for files 1 and 2.

Hmm, what about always wearing a certain outfit, I believe there are 3, minor, major, and world.

I would love to always wear the blue major outfit.

And, how about making it so you can face anyone in Career again, instead of seeing them all beaten up and only being able to see the results, make it so you can fight them again...

I don't know =\

Any hope? The files are larger than the character data.

I'm using Gecko 1.9.1 and (derp de derp) it's NTSC-U. It says it's applying the codes but once I get into the game the codes don't work.
At all.

I picked punch-out back up because the big colorful characters entertain my son while he's on my lap :D  But unfortunately I used the "Reset last stand chances" on a "retired" profile.  It lets me back into last stand mode but every time I win it freezes. I suspect there's a  "retired" bit in the save file that causes it (of course, I was able to LOSE a fight to Glass Joe just fine :P  ).  Or maybe it's a null pointer since there's no opponent boxer set to have his belt. Can someone make a code to bring Little Mac out of retirement for one final run?  Put the belt back on Sandman or Bald Bull or whoever you think deserves it the most :)
