Title: USB Gecko on Backups
Post by: JFTS on May 17, 2009, 11:13:15 AM
I know that this may be a be a stupid question, but can I create codes with a USB Gecko on a backuped game? I always make a backup of every game I buy for saving purposes! So now that I have lost Metroid Prime 3 I would like to know if I could create codes with the backup!

you could just use Gecko if you have a modchip.
if you use a softmod then i dont know, those are based on geckoOS so i think you could just use them too.

Well to make it short.. yes!

However, softmods are only capable of doing Gecko OS 1.07 codes.. Gecko 1.8 and 1.9 code handlers are secret.. You can only create these code types on backups with a modchip!

so you can? I have a few back-up games I would like to use some cheats on. Mine is soft-modded 4.0U Twilight Hacked. How do I do it exactly? The same as an original game?

You do it exactly like you would with Gecko OS. Use an old code manager and you're set, as to my knowledge all backup loaders apply cheat codes automatically!
