Title: Offset Problem
Post by: Panda On Smack on April 30, 2009, 10:52:48 AM
Hi people

Quite a few times we see someone make a code for say a PAL game and someone from the US wants to use the codes but nobody with a USB Gecko has the US version so codes aren't ported over.

Usually its just a case of finding the offset so is there anyway of making a little utility that a non usb gecko owner can run that reads a small portion of the memory and dumps it to a text file so that someone with a usb gecko can take this txt file and find that same portion in their game and suss out the offset?

This is all off the top of my head but just an idea?

Feel free to jump in and shoot me down for not seeing a huge flaw in my plan!

I think you missed the point

If someone doesn't have a USB gecko, they cant do a mem dump...
