Title: Add VC/WiiWare codes to code database?
Post by: funkamatic on April 28, 2009, 12:15:40 AM
When you try to add the game it says the game code is invalid (probably because the codes are too short).  When will this be fixed so the code list can be updated?

I would try that witth a little caution, I tried the JADD even having the Filename with 00, for Zelda A Link to the Past, and it crashed/killed my Savegame.
So make yourself a Backup, before trying that out!

yeah, maybe we shouldn't update the code database until the page has been changed appropriately.

Not working... It stated that no cheat found on SD.

Edit:
I have tried...

It's not neccessary to add 00. So for example if you have codes for river city ransom, the id would be
FDVE. On Game ID, just type FDVE then export to your SD. It will ask you that there is no game id. Export anyway? Click yes, locate your SD and name FDVE.gct. Once saved, you should be able to play with the cheat.

this is about the code database, not the cheatcode manager

code database like ocarina codes for games?

If not then nvm, but if it is then it still won't work under xxxx00. Still need to remove 00 for some reason.

This (http://www.usbgecko.com/codes/) is the code database.
and in the newest version of the code manager you dont need to remove the 00, the codemanager will do it automatically.

Will it be possible to download VC/Wiiware codes using Code Downloader by linus (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Code_Downloader) once you add them to the code database?

No, it's not. I've tried to get a hold of Linus but I cannot find him active anywhere. (if someone knows him, please try to have him contact me)

Hi there,

Sorry for this post as I just happen to stumble upon this particular subject. My problem is almost the same thing. On the Ocarina Cheat Manager, when I tried to hit the button "EXPORT TO GCT", it gave me the message NO GAME ID GIVEN? Do you wish to continue? This is after the fact that I had just typed in the game id that was present on that WIIRD datacode base. When I continued and started the game after launching the channel from the the Gecko OS, the codes DIDNOT WORKED.

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong here or was it because the game id was not included on the database. But the weird thing is that before the game started I saw something that the GeckoOs did and that was to say that codes were foundf (from the SD Card) and it was APPLYING IT. So when the game started and I was playing it, the supposed codes DID NOT WORKED.

Thanks in advance for any replies and for your time.

Willy
