okay this is pretty damn frustrating. after what was quite a frustrating time a few months ago i actually got the usb gecko working perfectly to back up games. I have it connected to my wii and pc. I put the disc that i burnt that has the loader iso on it comes up as a GC game I press start and it goes straight to "waiting for PC command ". then on the pc i open up gecko tools click usb connect it connects then click dvd extract and go through the rest of the steps and I have my backup. Now I have no idea what has gone wrong as I have not changed anything but now when i click connect in gecko tools it says "ERROR couldn't connect to usb gecko please check connection " and i have no idea why it is doing this I am doing what i always do. could someone please help me out as i think I am starting to scare myself with the amount of profanities that spill from my mouth after reading one sentence  thanks in advance ACE
I'm a bit confused, but are you trying to extract an already burned game?
I haven't used Gecko Extract, but I know it needs a modchip.
Also, I would just use USBloader by Waninkoko to extract your game on a 4gig flash drive and then pull it over to your PC, It's just as fast.
I'm just trying to extract a genuine copy of a game. and yes I have a modchip or else I would not have had it working in the first place. I'm not after an alternative as this method was working for me but now has just stopped working and i do not know why.
