Title: Madworld - shaky
Post by: garvin on April 17, 2009, 10:42:06 PM
I just got Gecko 1.8.0.2 and when I launched Madworld via Gecko, the game becomes shaky. Shaky, for ex. is like when you are watching TV and there is a bad reception so the TV staggers continuously with many frames. This is my first time using Gecko so do I have to change something in the config options or rebooter options? everything was default. So to sumit up, when I use gecko to launch MadWorld, the screen blinks through many different frames.

I am a total noob so I don't know what PAL means.  I have a US wii and I am using a UK Madworld. Where do I set the videmode to PAL60?

I went to Config Options and I tried Force PAL60 but it didn't work if that is what you mean.

When I press Launch rebooter, it says error loading menu. Does that mean anything?

PAL is the region setting of the game and you are using a PAL game on a USA Wii.  You'll have to Force PAL60 or PAL50.  Rebooter isn't needed as far as I know.  :)

Are there any other way to load other region games because I bought this game and I don't want to return it.

Every PAL game I've ever played on my ntsc us Wii I had to tell gecko os to force ntsc, or else I would have a rolling screen.

I forced NTSC, and I get a pink screen. I forced PAL 50 or PAL 60 and I get a rolling screen. What is up with that? Could it just be the game?

Sorry, I'm a total noob, should I force pal or ntsc if I'm using a pal game on an ntsc wii? Also, what would happen if I forced pal50 and pal60/ how do I know which one to use?

Force PAL 50 or 60 if you are playing on a NSTC wii and playing a PAL game. I guess try both 50 or 60 until one works? I never got it to work but I guess it is just MadWorld

Seeing Madworld only supports on color mode I guess the only working setting for the game is:

Madword North American version: Force NTSC - I doubt the game would be working in PAL60
Madworld Europe: Force PAL50

Please note if you have 480p I guess things do not work.. Madworld EU unfortunately force switches to PAL50 while Madworld NA force switches to NTSC no matter what Wii it isi running on. As Gecko always tries to boot into 480p mode if your Wii uses it, I guess Madworld would be "malforced" into a mode it does not support.
