Title: internet browser / opera?

ive heard there is a free opera browser for the wii.  i am pretty sure have the file, but i am not sure how to go about installing.  im on 3.2u btw.

There is no way to get opera free, it was free at the wii's release and stayed free for some time, but you have to pay 500 points for it to get it now.
There is no homebrew internet browser I know of, what is the file you have called?

You could try running Firefox, and maybe even the Linux version of Opera, on Wii Linux.  However, I do not know of the compatibility of Wii Linux and/or the browsers...

but the downside of wiilinux is that wireless network is not supported.

even if people are getting Linux versions of Firefox or Opera to run.. I doubt they'll have too much fun with them.. Adobe only releases an x86 and amd64 platform version of the Flash plugin.. so the flash problem of Opera Wii is even worse.. you will not have any Flash support as there are no proper flash implementations for PPC Wiis!
