Sorry if a thread like this one has already been posted.
I have the Homebrew channel installed on my Wii, I have the latest version of GeckoOs installed on my SD card (in the "apps" folder F:/apps. and I converted the boot.elf to boot.dol as well), as well as the Code Manager (in the "pc" folder of my SD card F:/pc). I made a .GCT file (named RUUE01.GCT), with all the codes I want. I open up the Homebrew Channel menu with Animal Crossing: City Folk already inserted into the Wii, along with my SD card. I choose GeckoOs from the Homebrew Channel menu and than click "Launch". It comes up with all of the right messages as far as I know (Lang: Default, all of the "force" options say "NO"), Game ID comes up as the Animal Crossing ID (RUUE01). Than at the bottom is gives the message "SD codes found. Applying". Than my Wiimote disconnects, and it becomes stuck at that screen, the game never loads. Do I need a button activator? Should I try turning one of the options on or off? Iv'e left it at that screen for about an hour, which I figure should be plenty of time to apply the codes considering I only want to activate three. Please help! I can give more specifics if you need them.
Do this... depending on what region/pal/ntsc your game is. Set them accordingly (english, ntsc/pal) then launch the game. The same happened to me when I first launched the game with default settings. If you get to play it please tell me how the performance is, mine goes to the "error reading disc" sometimes during the game and it's really annoying considering that you can't save the game without quitting.
NTC X: You are sure you're using codes for the correct region (i.e. NTSC-U) and have the "hook type" option set to VI? Post which codes you use, it may be specific codes that's the problem.
