Actually, these codes are simple file swapping codes.
Unfortunately, there's no software similar to "Gamecube DVD disc browser" for Wii.
So you'll have to make file list manually in order to swap files.
very cool codes!
I didn't think that I was able to see Pikadorf by the code.
Thank you for the present.
ZOMG, someone port to PAL!! ASAP!!
What does the unrestricted replay camera do.. I guess i ported it yet I do not see any change.. should it remove the 3 minute limit.. or what?
However: great codes!
Woah, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much thanks on move swap codes, and it works perfectly!
Chars i tested :
Pikadorf/Longchu = Epic Win.
Sonic as Captain Falcon = Wtf...it's a kinda...rayman? Some of B buttons freeze the game, but normal attacks no.
Wolf as Sonic = Woah, another wtf thing, it's scary ._.
I took some pictures, soon i'll post them here. :3
OOOOOOHHHH MAAAAN! I'm gonna take pictures of Longchu. Excuse me while I go do that... a little later anyway.
@Link: It should allow you to rotate the camera anywhere while you're watching a replay. Press L or R to watch a certain character and while it's zoomed in on them like you paused the game you can move the camera with the joystick and C-stick.
Okay Y.S, next on the agenda is more than 3 minutes for replays. :lol I kid you, I kid you. Wonderful job though!
Do you need both characters that you're swapping with on screen? I would assume you do... I just want to make sure.

No, you dont need it XD
So,does the moveset swapping code work in the USA version of the game? Man,I won't have to burn more DVDs :D
I recommend Ness,Mario and Lucas with Yoshi's moveset!

I'm afraid not, at least, going by what MLX said. It doesn't work, you can try it though just be sure.

Here's another video, but this one is a GAMEPLAY!
Oh boy, I can't wait to do some more moveset swapping.
Thank you, Y.S. :D

Dude, nice code! XD
Taunt for Final Smash is awesome, now can you make a code that enables multiple final smashes at once? :D
Hello
Is there a way to make a code that allows us to record any match on our SD card ? Even if the match lasted longer than 3 minutes ?
As the game can save replays that only lasted less than 3 minutes...
Thank you !
but what about having all the music? is there any cheats for that?:irule:
or texture hack?
Final smash code is Great!
Some the codes are added.
It's possible to use it by 'Multi-Man Brawl'.

Is it possible to make a code allowing to save replays which last more than 3 minutes ?
I've made another music modifier using file swapping.
The code list is way too long, so I attached the zipped text file.
Enjoy! ;-)

this crashes alot:eek: the only music i foun d that works is multi man melee 1:mad:
Whenever I use these codes, I lose all colours except red for smash bros (the codes still work, though). Help?
Aren't there time unrestricted code of the HRC.
Though it is in USA Version...
The name of the code is "Disable HRC Timer: Down and A to Finish".
Is there a code to unlock all characters and stages? That would be really helpful (As I have both copies of the game and already completed the NTSC-U copy)
:confused i still need a answer! i want to play other music other then multi man melee 1 song  the rest just keeps crashing:eek:
btw using almost all these cheats codes can damage ur game. well not really but see my luigi mansion stage dont work at all and somtimes my ssbx crashes alot even without cheats so if this happens to u. u must delete ur game save. everything working great now but is there a cheat to unluck all stage and charecter?

Yes Y.S! You prove yourself to be amazing again! I cannot believe you're doing the same code you did for Melee, I is so happy!
Great job! ;)

Coming Soon!
I made the 'infinite jump code' of another type.
This code works normally only in the Brawl mode. Other modes work tentatively.
When 2 persons are played in break the target, P1 code and P2 code swap.
Also, even if this code has been applied since time when the game start is done, it's safe.
Therefore, it's likely to be able to use this code even by ocarina safely.
Enjoy! ^_^

It jumps stepping on others' heads.
This is usually possible up to 4 times.

GREAT!!
nice code!!
but how to use of "Infinite Up-B: Type A or B" is not understood.
This home run bat modifier doesn't work properly.
It replaces the home run bat, but it still acts like a bat, you pick it up, swing it, etc.
Although some things still kind of work, when thrown (like bombs)
Try throwing a Golden Hammer, that hurts.
The offset list for "Partial Size Modifier" is almost complete.
I'll post the code and complete list very soon.
Here's some sample photos showing what can be done with the code.

nice code!!
but how to use of "Infinite Up-B: Type A or B" is not understood.
type A is the original which just gets rid of the limit where B is an action Modifier that makes it somehow "better"
Thanks!!!!!!:irule:

Yes! It's a correct working of the Home-run bat modifier code.

Do you even test your own codes? These are only freezing my game when used with a USB Gecko.
Partial Size Modifier
Certain parts of characters, such as Wario's head, or Mario's hand, etc. change their size when performing certain moves.
The addresses for these parts' size are easily found by 32-bit unknown search.
In most cases, they are found in MEM2 area. But you cannot simply write value to those addresses to have their size changed, as the game's program is constantly writing default value on them (1.0).
Try setting a breakpoint on write and see what is happening;
Write default value:
801A8758: beq- 0x801a8774
801A875C: C002A058 lfs f0,-24488(r2) Load default size (1.0)

801A8768: D01B0004 stfs f0,4(r27) Write default value

801A8770: 48000020 b 0x801a8790
In JPN version of Brawl, r2 points the address 0x805A8EA0.
So, the default value is stored at 0x805A2EF8.
Writing 2.0 to 0x805A2EF8 makes almost everything good-sized.
But even the menu icons or items get bigger and you can hardly play the game.
And just skipping this routine also brings problem; Newly created objects won't get proper size!
To prevent this;
Address: 0x801A8760
Skip Overwritng:
lfs f0,0(r27) Load current size
lha r3,2(r27) Load lower 16bit of size data

oris r4,r29,16384 original instruction
_end:
The value 0x5953 can be anything.
It's a kind of signature which prevents the size value you wrote from being overwritten by the game.
i.e. If you wrote 0x40005953, it remains 0x40005953.
Some characters such as Sonic etc. using another smilar routine and requires similar "Must be on" code.

Epic code,YS.Do you know if there is ATLEAST,any chance it will work with the USA Brawl? IDK,but I will try anyway.
EDIT:It does NOT work :O.I guess I will have to sit and wait till it gets ported...
In the mean time, I'll be using these codes, and posting them on brawlsnapshots.com first, before you. ;)
Could somebody make an example code for simply enlarging Mario's head? That would be helpful.
It is very wonderful:eek::eek::eek:
I am studied very much.
The speed where other games walked was in MEM1.
The size was MEM2!!
However, there is one thing that doesn't understand.
32-bit unknown search = Value Type > Last Value????
or
Value Type > Speciic Value = 3F800000????
Please teach when there is your time:irule:
Quote from: RupeeClock;10606Do you even test your own codes? These are only freezing my game when used with a USB Gecko.
It's natural.
Only when i'm sure of a code working normally, The code is posted.
I don't post the freezed code.
We <3 you Y.S! Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks, smk :-)
@Zit
Mario's hand, for example, gets bigger when he punches. So, you can find his hand's size address by performing "greater than" and "less than" searches in "unknown value" mode.

Good job!
I understood it very much:clap
Thank You Y.S.:irule:
I don't understand, the code simply doesn't work at all with USB Gecko.
I'll try it with Ocarina and see how that works instead.
Edit: Just as a feared, the code doesn't work on USB Gecko, but only on Ocarina...
Maybe I need to update WiiRD or something.
Edit: These codes work great, it's just a pain that I can't use my USB Gecko for this, no real time uploading or altering of codes.

My my, what a lovely code
Is it possible to make a code allowing to save replays which last more than 3 minutes please ? ._.
Has there been any progres on the partial size modifier code for US version?

but, I think that your code is more awesome. (Infinite jump)
I was surprised for the method of writing down the offset of the purpose with assembly hacking.
I improved the skill thanks to you.
When good Pointer isn't found, this means is used. :)

You can modify the size of breasts in some games, such as Resident Evil series.
But I'm not sure about Smash Brothers series..
Maybe I'll look into it later ;)
By the way, I saw many people requesting Bosses as playable characters,

Y.S. these are probably the greatest codes i've ever seen.... Can you remake them for NTSC :D stupid ASM codes are impossible to port
Extremely fascinating concept you used there , you created an ASM code that writes to a certain spot what boss you're fighting against. Then you created a code that, if you're fighting the right boss, creates a table telling what actions you can do and what button combination each are linked to. Finally, you made an ASM code that read the table according to the buttons you input and made the boss do whatever action that was linked to the button input.
I only have one question, does this code alter what move they'll do next, or will it cause them to remain idle until you make an input? If the second than I assume that you found a way to manually input actions instead of just replacing them right? That could lead to some interesting possibilities. :)
If you just used a form of action replacement then I suppose I could port this if it's alright with you...

If your idea is correct, could this mean you could control other players?
Even though its not allowed, that would be awesome on wifi.
Well, I've converted the code for you... That was pretty ingenious the way you used the action replacement method - right now I'm just waiting for your okay to release it... I won't if you don't want me to though.
I'm glad you understand my code in full :P
Releasing the code is absolutely no problem.
In fact, I'd really like to see responses from NTSC-USA users :)

Two questions: 1- your codes of the controllable bosses works with the Wii classic controller ? or it has to be necessary the gamecube one ? 2- Will you port these codes to PAL (my version. I know that this is the JAP thread but nobody is posting in EU thread ).
anyone have the code to allow placing objects outside edges in the stage editor.
This is the RSBE01 code if anyone knows how to convert them, thanks

I've made another music modifier using file swapping.
The code list is way too long, so I attached the zipped text file.
Enjoy! ;-)
u rock man, but where is the zipped text file????? I didn't find it! and btw anybody knows about Music Modifier Code?? =S
Does anybody know de "My music modifier" code for JP version??... Can anyone convert this code from USA version to JP version??
Here is the codes for USA version, created by Phantom Wings
Music Modifier [Phantom Wings]
4A000000 9017EBCC
1400XXXX 0000YYYY
E0000000 80008000
XXXX = Stage Offset + (Song # - 1) * 8
YYYY = Song to Replace with
So, if you wanted to change the eleventh song
on the Halberd to another song, then you
would just make:
Stage offset for the Halberd
\
XXXX = 268 + (B - 1) * 8
^B = 11 in Hex
XXXX = 268 + A * 8
XXXX = 268 + 50
XXXX = 318
So your code would be:
4A000000 9017EBCC
14000318 0000YYYY<-- Insert New song here.
E0000000 80008000
XXXX = Stage Offset + (Song # - 1) * 8
YYYY = Song to Replace with

I proved these codes with my SSBB NTSC-J and freeze in the stage that I replaced any song, so its not working for JP version, I think the "main code" is ok, but the XXXX code which we have to replace is the problem, maybe the "Stage offset" code is the problem for these codes. Can anyone help???
This cord is a cord becoming the Battlefield where a stage choosing the terminal is not seen. Can you convert it into JP.ver?

All the codes of My music modifier of ntsc-u can be used with ntsc-j.
So, porting is unnecessary.
Please use the reset code when the game breaks.

However, the idea of controlling Bosses wouldn't let go of me (control freak, perhaps?)
so I made the following codes.

Holy cow!!
It's unbelievable that such code is made.
Y.S. great works!!
I ported some codes. we wish to express our gratitude to authors.

thank you so much for porting the level editor edge placement code, wanted it so bad. You're awesome. will test soon
Please report to here when there are some problems.
I will straighten out that problem as much as possible.
not sure if it's a problem, or if it's exactly how the code is supposed to be, but you can only place objects a block or two outside the editing area. works fine as it is, i was just hoping to be able to make walk off stages, guess i'll need to wait for the custom stage pc editor. still, many thanks to you
Let's see...perhaps, you are wrong in the operation method.
hold it just a second. I write down a correct procedure.
About the edge code:
1.Parts are selected, and press L button.
(http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/5946/002ow4.th.jpg) (http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/5946/002ow4.jpg)
2.The place is decided. and, after R button is pressed, parts are set up. (Press R => Press A)
(http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/7118/003ye1.th.jpg) (http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/7118/003ye1.jpg)
(http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/1285/004lc1.th.jpg) (http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/1285/004lc1.jpg)
3.Some parts are added. and, test play.
(http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/8953/005no9.th.jpg) (http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/8953/005no9.jpg)
4.Parts do not break. It's normal.
(http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/6492/006wy8.th.jpg) (http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/6492/006wy8.jpg)
Therefore, it's safe even if it sets it up as follows.
(http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/6343/007zu6.th.jpg) (http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/6343/007zu6.jpg)
works normally.

Regrettably this is a limit now.
Stage builder pieces can be put outside by using the code.
but, in that case, the game crashes. therefore, further search is necessary......

Nice work Y.S.! i was wondering when someone would make this code xwink :P
Hey, I was wondering, can this code be converted into JPN Version?

This was a code that can copy the submitted data from Wi-fi, as originally you can't do that. Hope this can be converted! xwink
Codes originally made by me for PAL.
QuoteInvisible Items & SSE Enemies [Fred]
146700B6 00000000
OR
146700A6 00000000
Info: This code will make some player items such as snakes granades, sidegun and cypter invinsible, diddykongs gun and all items invisible, a very fun way to play the game without knowing things is there. You will however see them appearing with the "creation" upon the air. Items will appear visable if they come out from a create or a capsule . Pokemons and assist people are invisible aswell. There is even some final smashes that works with this code! Note that sometimes some items will not get invisible. Also: This code will give SSE a new difficulty level, every SSE enemy is now invisible with this code even for Bosses!
This can really get some quite interesting picture results... if you are able to pick up and find the item ofcourse. Just look at this:
Please give me a feedback if this works, maybe its possible to port some other codes over then.
I would need a 90 range dump for Brawl to port the online codes.
*Edit forgot something, should be fixed.

great codes YS, thanks for giving up your time for making them for all regions. i already made Donkey Kong Neutral B is Fully charged and marios down b is fully charged for NTSC-U but my ones are ram write (i.e crap) so yours are obviously much better, thanks again ;)
Hey Y.S., I know the moveswap code is already half a year old, but have you tried looking into why multi-characters, Kirby, and Bowser can't moveswap?
Hi, first of all thanks for supporting DSBX, I really appreciate it.
I'm sorry, because I'm gonna ask something that has probably been asked multiple times already>
can somebody tell me what the "Unrestricted Control Editing" code works or does ?
I just finished building an arcade stick with gamecube support, and I was wandering if there was a way to get analog to D-pad through codes so I could play DSBX with it. :)
it's the first time I'm using codes, but the .gct seems to be applied fine by GeckoOS upon booting my import...
thanks a bunch in advance and sorry if that has already explained ^^''

Anyway, the original one that brkirch had was one where the button didn't show up... this one was from the US Version that had the button showing up even after 3 minutes...

I have no idea... I just took Phantom Wing's code from the US Version... copied it... and changed the addresses...
If it doesn't need it... then I'd be happy to try it when I get back home....
Double post justified by Phantom Wing's update of my failed JPN port of his "No Closeups" code...

*Note, I copied the code EXACTLY... I just changed the addresses for the regions... I don't know why the PO needs to be set to 80000000...
It should also be noted that the codes I have used with the pointer offset set to 90000000 or higher in the USA Version also work for this version...
Codes such as:
Music Modifier [Heinermann]
4A000000 90180F06
14000076 FF00XXXX
E0000000 80008000

All pokeballs are legendary!!!
Is this his code too? If proper credit wasn't given... please be sure to correct me...
Edit: Btw, I will find the addresses for the controller values for activators... I've already found address for the Wii Remote first slot... (are there supposed to be many of them?) and will try to edit this post to include the others after I have more time...
(All credit goes to FMK for finding the values the controller uses for the US Version for me to port the addresses here)
Me have no Japan SSBB but Unrestricted control edits lets you put anything, anywhere! EXAMPLE!: Nunchuk c-Button makes mario move left!
err really ? how ? code was applied but I had only "a", "b", jump, shield, trow... not move left
the poit would be to have up, left, right down on the dpad to play with the gc arcade stick I just just finished.

It was only an example.
so it's not possible ?
sorry but I don't get it guys :(
you can only edit stuff which are already editable, basically you can change b to attack, or somethin like that but you cant change it to smash, with this you code you can change anything EDITABLE to anything from all the options there are from all of them
okay, thanks, interesting stuff but too bad nothing is possible for analog to dpad :(
this topic is dieing!!!!!!!!!!!
is there any way (using the Unrestricted control editing or otherwise) to assign a control to nothing??? for example A+B under nunchuk control, set to nothing.
