Noob here :-[
Ive been playing around with Homebrew and Gecko OS recently and I've encountered a fairly serious problem.
After using a few codes to play a game, the wii crashed/froze mid game.
I thought nothing of it, because that had happened a few times before due to some sort of coding malfunction or whatever, but upon powering my wii back up, it appears that my wii's audio/visual output took a hit of some sort.
The screen is divided in half, with the top half below the bottom half. Also, the entire display shakes and 'fuzzes' continuously. It looks as if the tv were set on the wrong input, but thats not the case.
In addition, the sound comes in and out randomly.
Has anyone else encountered this problem, &/or know how to solve it?
Any help would be appreciated.
And I appologize in advance if this isnt the appropriate place to post this, but I couldnt exactly tell where it should go.
EDIT: I am also able to do and run anything on the wii just fine, from a performance standpoint, it's just extrememly difficult to see what I'm doing because the display is shaking so violently. Hopefully this helps in recognizing my problem, if anyone can.

Check your video mode settings. I've seen stuff like this when I tried to use 480p with a TV that only supported 480i; I wouldn't be surprised if other video mode mismatches caused weird stuff too.
Where would I find my video mode settings?
I know that I personally didnt change any of them when it happened, so is it possible that a gecko code may have changed them?

First look in your Wii's system settings, there is a choice between HDTV/EDTV (480p) and SDTV (480i). If that doesn't help, look in the GeckoOS menus, there should be choices for forcing a particular video mode. I can't remember the details off-hand, but the GeckoOS menus should be fairly self-explanatory.
the problem is the text is illegible, so navigating menus isnt that easy, but I'll try it and keep posted.
EDIT: I tried changing the screen resolution, but I wasnt able to select the alternate option for some reason or another.
Then I tried toggling Pal60, NTSC, Pal50 and VIDTV Patch, but nothing changed.
Is there some sort of coding that I can put on my SD to avail this problem?
Or does anyone know of an alternative solution?
You can't change the screen resolution if you don't have component cables.
The standard composite cables only support 480i while component cables support 480i/p.
