Title: Luigi's Mansion (NTSC-US)
Post by: hawkeye2777 on December 03, 2008, 04:20:00 AM
Luigi's Mansion does boot with Gecko OS/WiiRd... but has some pretty nasty side effects. They are best described by images, so I will link to them below:

That should sum up everything right there. The graphics are majorly screwed up. However, you can still read/write to memory without problems (the music unlike other games though still loops). Booting with NTSC specified does not fix anything either. This has all been tested on a US Wii (3.2U) in GC mode. Just thought I'd throw this out there.

Wow.. now this is looking REEEALLY odd.. and to say the truth.. I have no idea what's going on. I will however check my sources if I can get the game to see what's going on there.

I have a PAL wii 3.2E and a japanese Luigi Mansion.
I've set up my Wii console to 60Hz.

1.7b (HBC9) Direct boot : no (visible) problem
1.7b (HBC9) Rebooter : Some gfx weirdness (like if there were some scanlines on the top of the screen), but nothing close to what you have.
Gecko NGC version (Gecko Server) : no (visible) problem.
