Title: enough spinning yet?
Post by: Jassim on November 30, 2008, 01:31:32 AM
ok theres somethign really really annoying about the HBC and for some reaosn its only for me and my friend, when i watch utube vids it doesnt happen to them.

problem: turn on wii, dvd drive is spinning (so far so normal) i click on homebrew channel, i click start, right after that, screen goes black and disc stops reading immediately (still normal), the screen stays black and the dvd drive tries reading dvd again, stops trying to read dvd wait 10 seconds then homebrew channel finally comes up.

this migth seem like nothing but imagine u had to do this each and every single time you wanted to play a game and while its spinnin ur thinkin "OH FOR **** SAKE WATS THE ****IN POINT OF SPINNIN AGAIN FFS!!!"

its really frustrating, anyone know how to sort this problem out?

thx in advance

which version of HBC do you have?
You could try to update if you have lower than 9

Do you have DVDthing installed?
Maybe if you delete it?

What about cIOS or Starfall and the likes? Got any of those installed?

And when did you first start to experience theese problems? Can you remember anything special you did around/before that?

actually i do remember, when i upgraded to 3.3Ev2 this started happening, i downgraded to 3.2 and i still have this problem.

edit: im not sure if it was right after i updated, but i do know it start between when i updated to 3.3E v2 to when i downgraded to 3.2E.

like haXXeR said, it could be from a cIOS i installed coz when u wanna downgrade from 3.3E v2 u have to install a few IOSes and i think there was a cIOS i  had to install. so i reckon my best hope would be to ask on gbatemp because thats where i got the guide to downgrade
