Title: Gecko os question
Post by: justin_2999 on November 25, 2008, 07:32:43 PM
Hi everyone, I'm new on the boards and have an important question. I've never tried any homebrew before but I wanted to know something about the Gecko os. For playing games from other regions, does it do the same as the freeloader? Like ignore disc updates? Also, can you force a language to play the a game? Let's say a Pal game on an NTSC Wii and paly the game in german for example.

Any help would be much apreciated, thanks :D

Yes, GeckoOS will ignore all disc updates that are on a disc, so there is no worry of installing an out of region update onto your Wii.  Also, I'm pretty sure that you can force some languages into the game, but I don't know for sure.

if the game u want to play is from a pal region it would be available in english, french, spanish, german and i think dutch.

if its a game from north america i think it can only play in english (maybe french coz of canada but im really not sure about that one)

if its a game from china or japan or korea, its with the rest of the languages
